OK if your expectations are set

Expectations setters:
1. This is a motel on a busy road, not an Inn.
2. By absolutely no stretch of the imagination is the Lemon Tree Inn good for a "romantic getaway" as their website suggests.
3. The claims of "Old Florida" are true if you are talking about the campy 50's FL.
4. The bed is comparable to a Motel 6 bed, not a "romantic getaway" bed.
That said, think of the Lemon Tree Inn as a wonderful alternative to a Motel 6 or even a Best Western. The rooms really do have character and there is impeccable service at the front desk, and strangely, there is the best lighting at the bathroom sink I have ever seen in my life. So, yes, I would recommend this as a place to stay overnight because you're in town for a night or two. I wouldn't hang out there during the day, and for my comfort level I wouldn't stay there more than one night. If you can find a Marriott Courtyard in the same price range as the Lemon Tree Inn, by all means go to the Marriott.
