We got MORE than our money's worth.

My husband and I got back from our Labor Day weekend yesterday. We loved the Bay Side Inn. What drew us in was the price...$75 per night. I also enjoyed the father and daughter who took their time to describe their hotel and book our room. These hotel rooms have obviously been remodeled recently because I couldn't find anything to complain about. Really. The king sized bed was ultra-comfortable with clean and neat sheets, blankets and heavy comforter (the a/c really cools this room when on high). The room was very spacious and had a vaulted ceiling (we were on the second floor). There was a couch and coffee table, a desk and chair, a dresser with an ample amount of space for storing your clothes. The furniture wasn't crammed into the room...I'm telling you, the room was huge. The view was a shady Florida courtyard with a pool that wasn't too close to the room. You didn't have to fight the Miracle Strip traffic for long because there was a Publix, movie theatre, and wal-mart right off of the strip going into Ft. Walton / Mary Ester a couple of traffic lights away. Of course, we drove into Destin / Ft. Walton beaches, but there was also a nice pier at the hotel to go fishing and swimming. We didn't have a boat, but they had a boat launch that was very nice. This motor hotel was a remodeled relic of what touristers enjoyed in slower more relaxing days. It was JUST what my husband and I needed.
