Safer Sleeping at the Airport!

This was not worth the $75 rate. I could have stayed somewhere else much nicer for $4 more. The place is run down, not clean (there were actually dirty splotches of something on the bathroom floor!), and several things were broken/out of order. The ironing board and the in-room coffeepot were broken, and my door lock only worked with much cajoling. And I left my shoes on the entire time I was in the room because I did not want to walk on the carpet. Also, do not be misled by the claim that they offer 24-hr shuttle service. When I called for pick-up at the airport, it took over 30 minutes for them to get there to pick me up, while I watched the same shuttle from a few other hotels drive by several times. And the shuttle only goes to the airport at scheduled times, so factor that in when leaving for your flight.

Great service and a very convinient location

The complementary transportation from the airport and back was very convinient and it saved us some money, also the hotel provided us with free transportation to the port of miami as well. This came in handy as we were going on a cruise. The rooms were spacious and updated. No complains, very happy with the service

Good Hotel

My room was very nice. The spacing arrangement was very skillfully arranged. I liked that taxis were located just outside the hotel. The rate could have included breakfast however. Overall I was happy

DISASTER !!

We booked at this location so we could eat and get a good nights sleep before driving the next day to Key West. The clerk did not advise us upon check in that on Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant on the top floor turns into a disco. We were awakened at about 11:00 pm by the worst racket imaginable as we were on the floor below the restaurant - couldnt sleep and had the front desk change our room. Our new room on the fifth floor was quite, but, the toilet didn't work.This is not what we have come to expecty from a Holiday Inn.Avery, very unsatisfactory experience - we would not return to this property again. Excellent stay

I checked in on Friday morning and the front desk gave me a room as soon as I arrived, it was around 8:00 am and they were quite busy, I appreciated the fact that they saw me with kids and quickly found and cleaned a room for us. The hotel seems to have gone through an extensive renovation and they have very convenient transportation options to the airport and the port of miami. I liked the free wireless interned and the fact that my kids eat free. The transportation to the port was very convinient and they had a very nice couch. Overall it was a great experience and we were very satisfied.

Disappointment!

We have usually had very nice experiences at Holiday Inns, so this hotel was a disappointment. When you check into your room and there are room service dishes outside 3 different rooms at 1:00 in the afternoon and they are still there the next morning, it's not a good sign! The elevator is broken; another bad sign. There wasn't any hot water mid-afternoon and the room had a seriously broken blow dryer that took an hour for the front desk to replace. We did not find this hotel to be the 3-star hotel we were expecting. The location is convenient to the airport and the shuttle to and from the pier and airport is important, but the only accessible restaurant is the hotel restaurant and a Burger King across the street.

Would not go back!

We truly like most Holiday Inn's but this particular one Holiday Inn at the airport did not give us the usual excellent service that we get from them! The front desk staff was less then friendly..plus they offered free shuttle to the cruise shop,there shuttle's broke down, we pooled with other people to get a cab to get us to the ship on time so that we wuould not miss our ship! The location was close to the airport but not close enough to the port thank God that other people were willing to share a cab because the cost was high we did not anticipate the shuttle problem. Next time we would stay at a Holiday Inn closer to the port! The staff were not friendly and did not seem concerned that they had a lobby full of upset people concerned about there ship leaving without them! The staff was less then friendly before the shuttle incident!
