It's closed, do not go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/5/11
Arrived place had been closed by the local fire service due to issues with health and safety. The ground floor rooms by the car park looked like they had all been trashed, doors smashed in etc, looks like it had been closed for some time. When we booked on the net, obviously the hotel informed us they were closed, NOT. We were offered a sister hotel up the road, which we refused it was nearly as bad. Be careful we got caught out.

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/10
There are so many things wong with this hotel. But I got food poisoning from there restuarant and was admitted to the hospital via ambulance. Do you think the /GM, Rick Lohr, did anything? No, he was nothing nbut mean and rude and yelled at me. All he did was brag how he manaf=ges 5 hotels. well, I don't know where got his training b/c it s---ks. He could of at least comped me for the room. He was so rude in front of my 10 yr old daughter. Now I am home and I have to see a GI specialist today. Good luck Rick Lohr with your cruddy hotel. It is so run down but that is no excuse for your lack OF MANNERS.

no security, doors do not lock ,filth everywhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/10
we saw three rooms with balconies and the doors don't lock you have to wear sandles in the rooms because the floor carpet is so old its feels moldy. we came back from a visit and found or balcony door wide open, room loaded with mosquitoes and bugs, plus a broken water line on the toilet spewing water all over, and then when i called the front desk and talked to the manager they actually said (do you think you would like a differant room) this place would not rate high even in the rural area of a small town in europe

Never go by the pictures at all those travel websites, because what we find out the rooms doesn't look nothing like the pictures. Mold, dirty walls, horrible doors, I don't even know how to start write all the problems this hotel have. Try to stay alway from this one.

Run and Don't turn back!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/09
This place was disgusting! filthy! The bathroom was full of mold around the tub and shower, we needed an extra cot in our room, when they brought it I had to call down for clean bedding, when we opened the cot it was dirty with grains of dirt and some plastic pieces! You had to slam the room door in order to shut it. If all Holiday Inns are like this, we are definitly staying away!!!

Good bargain, Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/08
The location accross from the beach is VERY nice. Also the neighborhood surrounding the Hotel is quite nice, quiet and friendly. The Staff was excellent, room was clean, and generally the facilities were decent. I do wish we had asked for a ocean view room, we ended up facing the parking lot, but there was not issue with noise. The room was incredibly outdated, and is in great need of a renovation. However it was clean. I would not stay there for a vacation, but would stay there for business or for just a quick trip. It's about a 20 minute drive into happening nightlife areas or shopping. Parking was hassel free.

clean the windows...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/08
Hello. l must write to tell you about our stay three weeks ago. The staff was perfect, really really informative and sweet. The restuarant l was told was just made over. Well those windows and the door leading out to the pool was filthy which made us not to eat in the restaurant. If you cleaned those windows on a regular basis it would be wonderful. l understand they were doing over the hotel, the outside of the place was debri all over the place, elevators were being done over l can understand that. The people at the desk were very nice and could not be more of a help. However to wear those l950 smocks made they look like they worked somewhere els. How about a nice white blouse with a dark bottom. Those girls deserve a better outfit. l am so sorry to complain but thought this might help you. The location was excellent and the staff a five star, but the appearance needs to be addressed. On a regular daily chore the windows should be checked and that door. l would not even touch it ...it was that bad..........Is this up to the dining room manager...l would think so. Thank you very much l hope l helped somewhat. Sincerely Mrs R. Femia

What a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/27/07
I couldn't believe this was a Holiday Inn. This hotel was rundown, dirty, poorly managed, and generally disgusting. The first room we were given was already occupied! The second room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. The third (and final) room was rundown (door frames rusting, paint peeling). We had to kill several ants. The air conditioner was extremely loud. There was a dehumidifier running in the room. If we had not been exhausted from travelling all day and gotten in late, we would have attempted to find a different hotel. This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Spend a few extra bucks and stay someplace else.
