Nightmare of a Hotel
This place is totally discusting from the moment you walk into the lobby. No bellman to assist with luggage. Front desk person very snotty, she ignored me for at least ten minutes while she was dealing with another guest complaineg about the room they were in. When she finally acknowleged our presence, she proceded to check us in. After she checke us in she told us we would have to walk to the third floor because there is only one elevator and it was out of order. Needless to say, we had alot of luggage, we were going on a ten day cruise the following day. We had to make three trips up and down three flight of stairs carrying heavy luggage (no bellman). When we finally settle into the room, we noticed that the air condioner was not working, there was hair in the bed and also in the bath tub, two of the lamps did not work, and the room smelled of mold. We asked to change rooms, and were told that we could change to another room but it would be about four hours later. Finally we were given another room, the key did not work so we carted all our luggage in front of the door and then went to the front desk to ask for new key. When we got into the room, it was not made up. Beds not made from previous guests and food all over the room. Terrible odor and also the A/C did not work in this room either. Staff did not want to help us, they told me they would get someone to clean up this room. two hours later, a security guard came to our room to make it up, I asked where the maid was and he told me they do not have housekeeping at night, it was security's job to make up rooms at night. Very good security (making rooms instead of protecting guests) The only thing that was pleasant was the area the (hotel?) is located. Also the greatest thing about this hotel is CHECKING OUT ! Never again will I got to Ramada Downtown Hollywood.
