Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek Ft. Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale

My fiance and I vacation extensively across the US and d Caribbean so we can compare. This was not a 5 star but we did not book a 5 star. However, we were satisfied with our suite and this is where we will b staying on our next trip to Florida. The lobby is VERY beautiful, d ride on d elevator gives u a great view of the atrium. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I love that it was a suite as a result we had 2 televisions instead of one. So my fiance was able to watch his sports and I was able to watch my game shows. The bathroom is very small, but clean which was ok with us. Our room was cleaned very late in the afternoon on our first day. Overall it was a very good experience and I am looking forward to going back.

First of all, this was the worst Sheraton I have stayed at yet! When you walk into the lobby, you are totally fooled by the appearance. You think you will be staying in a 4 star hotel but in reality you are in a 2 star. The rooms smelled horrible like something died in the carpet. The bathroom was the size of a matchbox. It was very obvious that the hotel needed to be renovated by the cracks in the wall. We were down in ft lauderdale for a funeral and the La Quinta hotel that my parents stayed at on Sheridan St was way better than this piece of crap. I would have checked out the first night but i had got the room for a special rate and my credit care had already been charged when i made the reservations. That was a costly mistake in which i wont do it again. Next time i will request to see the room before check in and if the room looks like something from the 1960's, i wont be staying there!

the entrance was as beautiful as the inside I enjoyed the stay last April 2008 and I will be going back this April for my birthday I really enjoyed the hotel and seafood festival everything was excellent.

Driving up to the front and entering the lobby took my breath away, it was so beautiful! But that's where the good vibs ended. It was 11:00 PM and we had had reservations for months but had to wait to be sure our five rooms were ready for us. Upon entering the rooms, musty odors greeted us along with dirty bed-linens in two rooms and a leaking air conditioner in one room. The first night, we only had 3 sets of towels (4 people to a room); the next night we returned from our conference to find NO towels and one of the rooms had been re-keyed so we could not enter until we got a new key. They delivered nothing - we had to go to the front desk and wait for clean linens and towels. The web site where we made the reservations said the beds were queen and that there was free continental breakfast. They were full beds and the only breakfast was a buffet for which we had to pay. AND there was no free wireless internet access and to use their lobby computer, the cost was $1.00. After paying nearly $200/night, that wasn't happening! We will not go back to this facility again.

When you walk in the hotel it's nice, when you get on the eleveator and your room, that's a different story. Our room smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a month, the carpet was soaking wet in the suite area, internet is $9.99 a day. When we told the Corporate Office of all our troubles, we were told they were sorry. The front desk staff was horrible, it was like talking to an animal. I will NEVER stay nor reccomend this to anyone.

THis is a great hotel for families as it is all suite and has a pool. It has an excellent restaurant the surrounds a grotto/waterfall of goldfish and turtles. There were many children. It was inland but right off the expressway. I was alone and was steered here by Starwood at a price that is 3x that which you're listing now but was told that I was getting a deal using my bonus points. I had asked for a hotel near the water (meaning ocean) and after I got to Florida and was charged, I found 2 Sheratons on the ocean with rooms available. I had fun in Florida despite the fact that I couldn't use the hotel for anything but sleeping. I would have prefered the view of the ocean instead of the pool & street/highway traffic.
