Econo Lodge Inn and Suites International Drive, Orlando

Check in was terribly slow.......key didn't always work......toilet ran constantly.......room just didn't smell fresh..........but the next morning when I came back in from breakfast......there were roaches all over the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink. The little brown kind...very disgusting! The whole place seemed in disrepair.

OMG IF THIS IS SO SUPPOSED TO BE A NICE RELAXING PLACE TO GO ON HOLIDAY I WANT TO KNOW WHY?! JUST RETURNED FROM A STREESFULL HOLIDAY AT THIS HOTEL ,ROACH,BUG CRAWLING PLACE MINGING FILTHY DIRTY ,CARPETS NEVER SEEN A HOVER IN THEIR TIME CARPETS DISGUTING POOL FULL OF ROACHES DIRTY LINEN RUDE STAFF SHUTTLE SERVICE NON RELIABLE KIDS HAVING NIGHTMARES BY ROACHES ,CAUGHT HEDLICE ,FLEA BITES ,ENDED UP ILL NEEDED TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IN UK IT WOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR HYGIENE REASONS I DO LOVE AMERICA COME ON SORT THIS HOTEL OUT HOLIDAY MAKERS ARE PAYING HARD EANED CASH TO COME BOOK ELSE WHERE PLEASE IM STILL ANGRY/FUMING MAD OVER THIS SAD PLACE.

I just finished a 3 day stay here and there were only two things I did not like about the hotel. #1. The T.V was fuzzy on every station except the news.... I brought a kid so that was a big problem. We brought his xbox but the remote for the T.V did not have a button to switch inputs from T.V to xbox or dvd or anything. I DID NOT call the desk to complain so they may have fixed it. #2 No Fridge. We ended up filling a sink with ice and using it as a fridge but a mini fridge would have been better. I would stay here again because of the price of the Room ($44 per night) and the Location was great

There is a certain kind of sub-level trash that would stay at this disgusting hotel and if you ignore this review, then this is just the place for you! Mold , noise , Roaches, yes I said it, roaches, the safe did not work, just a really nasty hotel with a Rude Staff and dirty sheets. I left next morning. I have Never been anywhere this bad and I travel a lot. You will regret it if you ignore this.

Like others, we were hesitant about booking this hotel due to some of the negative reviews we had ready. Glad we decided to check it out! While not new, this hotel is comparable to many hotels we have stayed in in Florida in the past. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. Our room was very spacious, clean, and met all our needs. Check-in was quick. We had a few minor problems (keys not working, tv remote not working) and the staff immediately fixed whatever we needed. We have a small dog and the grounds were wonderful for walking her. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay by a day. When we went to check-out, the bill was wrong for the rates for the last day and the staff member that helped us corrected the error with no problems at all. The pool was clean and the area around it was kept very nice. We always saw staff present, cleaning or offering assistance. The only minor problem was when we first opened the door to our room. The cleaning solution they use is very strong. We went out and bought a scented candle and problem solved! I would definitely recommend this hotel! It's not five star if that's what you're looking for, but clean, friendly, and no bugs, which is an accomplishment in Florida!!

One of the reasons I picked this hotel was its central location and the free shuttle to Universal Studios. When we arrived, the shuttle was sold out for the next day and therefore not available to us. We took the trolley to the park the next morning but came back at night in a cab ($10 fare). At checkout, I asked if I could be reimbursed for the cab ride, as the shuttle was unavailable. "Sorry," said the clerk. "That's not our problem." I would be willing to overlook the ants in our room and the overpowering moldy smell, but if a hotel advertises a service, it should be available.

wow... it was horrible! glad I only booked 1 night for a weekend getaway. I will never be staying here ever again. I booked online and liked the photos they show of the pool and new location was going to be great. We stayed at the theme park all day until 10 so we didn't check in until 10:45. I was 2nd in line to check in, the lady in front of me was there complaining that everyone's room keys in her building were not working! there were 2 attendents at desk at that point, but then one went into the back office instead of helping me and before I even got waiting on, people were just coming into the lobby up to the desk without waiting in line to complain about everything from keys not working, to not enough towels, to a/cs not working! I was really not wanting to stay before I even got to my room but knew my credit card would be charged whether or not I stayed there so had to stay anyway. So..it's 11:15 before I got checked in... our room faced the highway and was noisy all night! room was old & stinky. After 12 hours at the theme park, I really needed a warm shower! omg what a nightmare because the plumbing is SO old - by the time my shower was over, I'm standing in water over my ankles because slow draining. My son had to wait 20 mins to take his shower so the water would be gone. The bathroom sink faucet was so hard to turn on, had to use such force just to pull the thing on. A/C was on 66 and it felt like 80degrees! Needless to say, I pulled off all the blankets because it was not very cool. Next time, I will pay an extra $50 and stay somewhere nicer and newer, this place is a dump! OH.. another thing, check out is a nightmare - hundreds of guests trying to check out by 11 & others waiting for shuttles to get to theme parks & travel agents trying to sell stuff. I totally do not recommend anyone to stay here. Oh, and at 7 we left to go get b-fast and the housekeepers wanted to know when we were leaving so they could get our rooms cleaned; they want to move them thru like herds.

The Econolodge almost ruined our trip. We chose it b/c of the location and b/c of a couple of ammenities we really needed. We called ahead to assure that we would have a fridge, microwave, wi-fi, and a crib for our baby. They assured us that all was well. I asked if I needed to reserve a crib and they said no, but that they are always available. We arrived exhausted from a late flight around midnight and waited in the room for 1/2 hour for the crib to arrive. I tried to call down but our phone did not work. They also placed us in a room with no fridge or microwave (which we needed for baby food). They switched us to another room on the oppositive end of the establishment so we had to move all of our things (without help) to the 3rd floor double bed room (instead of king as we reserved) but they still had not brought a crib. At 1:30 in the morning, we called them one last time begging for the crib to put the baby to bed and they said they didn't have any left - "sorry" and that there was nothing they could do about it! We ended up having to go out looking for one at 1:30 in the morning b/c the baby won't sleep without it. The next day when we returned to our room after going to lunch housekeeping had left our door open - fortunately everything was still there. And as for the wi-fi, NOPE - it didn't reach our room. Please stay somewhere else!

I will not be going back. I made my reservations online, called and confirmed them, was even told I could check in early. When I go there, not only the wrong room, but a smokers room, I am allergic to cigarette smoke... not only did they not care... but they put me in another smokers room; and couldn’t check in early. It was absolutely horrible. The sheets had stains on them too. Gross! I would not recommend this place at all. When I complained about it they tried to sell me a timeshare... Hello I am not happy now, why would I buy a timeshare... duh! And they didn't even speak English! If I had not already paid for it a month early I would have left. The only good thing was the location, but there are plenty of other places to choose from on either side of it.
