Great location and clean
By Stephen, 12/10/11
My fiance and I stayed here and we both agreed that for the nightly price we paid, it was totally worth it. The rates were much better compared to the other hotels in the area, and I think on travelocity it was a 3 or 4 star hotel. Regardless, as soon as we checked into the hotel and got settled, we went straight for the pool. The pool has no life guard, but as well has no pool hours either. The hot tub was the only part of the pool that had set opening/closing times. So during our trip, we came back later one night and went for a hassle free swim at 8pm just b/c we could. Aside from that, the facilities were clean and there was always plenty of parking. The hotel is located right next to a Circle K / gas station! How much better than that does it get? Fill up your car (if needed) before your day of travel right next door rather than looking for gas stations. We walked over a few times to grab some food rather than spending tons of money every day going to a restaurant. Right down the street was a Tanger Outlet which included a Hilfiger, Osh Kosh and Nike stores to name a few. One of the local grocery stores, Publix, is also down the street across from Tanger Outlet. If your're looking for swim wear, water shoes, water noodles, sunscreen, etc, this is the place to get it if you don't mind the cost. It was the most convenient place for us to grab stuff before heading out to the beach. So with all the praise I have given, you may be asking why we gave this place 4 stars. It may seem crazy, and maybe not a good enough reason to give 4 stars vs. 5 stars, but the morning breakfast is what lowered our rating. Now typically, any other hotel I have stayed in, the Continental breakfast involves some hot foods being prepared by the hotel staff. Not this one. If you want any hot food, you have to make it yourself. And even then, your selection of hot foods is between waffles and toast. Yes, that's it. The selection of other foods included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels and apples / oranges. This was the only aspect of the hotel that let us down. The breakfast area was always very clean and coffee was being replenished constantly. We sat there in the mornings and watched the local news and that was very relaxing.

Big Family Place
By Denise Tabor, 6/8/08
The grounds of this hotel are so pretty, very well kept and designed. The only better than the beds were the pillows, I have NEVER had a bed this good in a hotel!!! the location was wonderful, it was right off Sanibel Island, it is the first thingoff the Island. Sanibel Island is not worth the cost... it is 10.00 to get on the island, and 2.00 an/hr to park you must decide how long you plan on being there and pay upfront, by the way don't think you will get by with it, we saw the parking attendants waslking the lots the whole time and we were told the parking tickets were VERY ugly!! if you park by the lighthouse, make sure you go to the pier lots of wildlife to look at. there was a falcon that sits on the lighthouse and she is pretty to look at. Do NOT GO TO Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger.... the food was "okay" BUT not 75.00 for 4 people to have small hamburgers and 2 had salads..

Got a really goot Hotwire deal and ended up here. The property is very well maintained. Room was quite large and clean! Beds really comfy. Breakfast was good (for a free one). Would certainly stay there again.

it was alright
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/06
there was really not anything that I did not like about the hotel the only thing is that i am used to staying at many five star hotels and they are alot more exiting than i found this particular hotel to be so please dont take offense to this review as a matter of fact i think oyou sould probably take it as a compliment especially coming from someone that is as picky as I am.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/06
My family has stayed at this hotel 7 times in as many years. Rooms are a good size with mini fridge, coffee/tea & coffee machines in room and a great staff. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of fresh towels. Location is great, you are not caught up in traffic jams like the city area and the trips to both Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island are within 10 minutes of the hotel. There are also plenty of surrounding restaurants in the area within minutes drive, mini golf and shopping nearby (souvenirs & an Outlet mall). The gas station next door is great for filling your tank or grabbing snacks. In my opinion, I find this hotel and location to be absolutely relaxing.

Very, Very Nice
By C.P., 4/5/06
Rooms were large and clean, well appointed, the grounds were well kept and the property had a "resort" ambiance, though there are no views. Its located at the intersection of roads that lead either to Sanibel Island or Ft Myer's Beach, so you'll have a short ride to places even though the hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere. The only thing keeping me from rating it higher was the lack of an internet booth and complementary coffee.

Very good hotel
By Rick, 4/2/06
Rooms a little larger than I was expecting, service was fine, beautiful landscaping, pool, and hot tub, location convenient to Sanibel Island but located right next to a gas station. All in all very good.
