Nice Place

We stayed 2 nights prior to our Carnival cruise. Great location--only 5 minutes from cruise dock. Very helpful staff. Bell hop gave good advice on a tour of the city. Front desk had great recommendation on restaurant. King size bed very comfy. Room clean. On our return to the hotel after our 5 day cruise for one night before our return to Cleveland, OH television did not get many channels. Service guy looked at it but couldn't fix it. Hotel was willing to put me in another room but we didn't want the hassle of moving. All in all a nice place and I would stay here again. Kenny C. Cleveland, OH

stayed at this wonderful hotel with my wife prior a cruise.Excellent service from all staff . Our room and bathroom impeccable.Hotel located only ten minuites from port of miami.Will definately stay there next time.

Beautiful

Simply, it was a beautiful hotel - at a great location and well worth the price. The rooms were nice, ours had an incredible view of the ocean and the service was outstanding!!! Will definitely stay there again!!

O.K for downtown

You don't have much choice in downtown Miami in high season. There are a lot of coventions but this hotel was quiet,even with the cruise ship guests. The staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is good for downtown if you have a car or can afford a taxi. We were told that it was a fifteen minute walk to Bayside shops, but it took 25 and we had to cross heavy traffic, walk under bridges and dodge construction. Overall this hotel is slightly overpriced considering the outdated interior and location, but like I said, not much choice downtown. It's just O.K

Wish I could have stayed longer!

Although I did not get to stay at this hotel, I did go to the hair salon with a bride who was leaving from the Port of Miami. I can tell you I was very impressed with the hotel. It was beautifully decorated and the staff was very helpful to us as far as directing us to the salon when we arrived. Once there, the stylists were wonderful and made the bride-to-be very comfortable. We could even see the cruise ship from the salon. The view was spectacular. Wish I could have stayed!

One Step Up

This Marriott is an old property and the rooms show it. Although clean, the rooms are relatively small and the bathrooms are tiny. I would rate it as one step up from a Motel 6. The bar is an unattractive establishment that has extremely overpriced drinks and little atmosphere. Forget the bar food - it is truly awful. Eat at the restaurant only if you are desperate. It took us close to an hour to get our meal and it was mediocre to poor at best with prices astronomical. Internet in the room costs 12.95 plus tax a day. For a Marriott this is definitely at the low end of the scale.

Positive review Barry and Chris

I cannot understand some of the negative reviews I have read about this hotel. My wife and I stayed for one week following a cruise and connot praise all aspects of the hotel enough. The rooms were spotless the maid service exellent the staff could not be more helpfull and courteous the facilities were first class and the location superb. We would be happy to return at any time. The staff at Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay were outstanding! They made you feel like royalty! They really cared about taking care of any requests you have. The value I received, the beautiful room and view of the ocean...awesome! I will certainly come back!

Excellent

Ive never enjoyed a visit at a hotel as much as I did here. Everything went great and according to plan. In relation with the Mandarin Oriental in Miami, the Marriott should be right there, next to the Oriental.
