Worst Hotel Service I Ever Experienced
By ,
The hotel has been water damaged. This is why you will experience a mildew smell in your room. During our one night stay using Starwood points the management decicded to paint in the halls. We took an afternoon nap only to wake up with a headache from the fumes. The front desk was totally incompotent in addressing our concerns. We had an early morning flight out of Ft Laudedale which meant leaving the hotel by 5:30 AM. We woke up to cold water in the shower. The carpeting is old and dirty. The lobby is impressive but once you get to your room you will be disappointed. It reminded me more of a roadside motel than a Shearton/Westin hotel. I have called the General Manager on several occassions but still have not received the courtesty of a return phone call.

wouldn't like to back there
By ,
They definately have elevators problem. There are only two ones, and one of them is for staff. But staff is using not only their elevator but often for the guests one. So you may wait for elevator for about ten minutes and when it arrives it is full of staff and you have to pass it and for the next time the elevator comes.

Waiting six hours to have four rooms
By ,
Nice restaurant and pool area; excellent waiter (Zoran); comfortable place. I was waiting during six hours to get my four rooms. I received three/four different explanations during that period. Finally, they told me that Starwood Preferred Guests were doing their late check outs and unfortunately there were no rooms available. I am also a SPG....!

Horrible!!!
By ,
My organization had a conference at this hotel and the service was horrible! The didn't have our audio/visual equipment set up until 3 hours after the convention started. They did not provide us with the pens and paper the second day. The meeting rooms were very blah. It had no character to them. Everytime I went up to the front desk, another person was complaining about something that was wrong with the hotel. It was too far from everything. It was not worth the money.

Good value
By ,
We found the hotel to be clean and the staff pleasant. It was a fair value for a beach front hotel. Nice, clean pool, plenty of towels. Nice beach area. The only complaint is that you have to pay to rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach- for my family of four it would be $40 just to rent chairs. We think that in a hotel like this, they should provide that service. It makes you feel like you are being nickled and dimed. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

overall we enjoyed our stay.
By ,
On arrival our two rooms were ready and we had been upgraded to deluxe suite. Our suite had two rooms, one a lovely sized bedroom with en-suite attached. The other was a large lounge room with TV, couch, coffee table, mini bar, and walk in dressing room with safe. There was also a small kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. Our suite did not have a balcony, which was disappointing as we did request one; the lower ones directly below us had enormous balconies overlooking the pool and ocean. (Ask for these when booking). This hotel is located on the beach and has deck chairs and towels which can be hired from the beach, at a cost of US$10.00 a day. The pool area is lovely with a good size swimming pool. There is a lunch time bar and small snacks can be ordered. The main restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner is spacious but the service was very slow. The hotel is not close to Lincoln Street, its about a five minute bus or taxi ride. We actually did not mind this hotel for a relaxing four days on the beach. It does have problems regarding staff and service but overall I think they do try their best to accommodate their guests. I could say a few negative points but really when I found that my daughter had left her valuables in the safe before boarding our plane, we quickly rang them and they confirmed to us that they would be posted onto Australia. On our arrival home, all valuables and contents were safely secured in DHL bag. (Thanks Jessica).

Never Again
What I disliked most was the parking. Valet only and the parking garage was 8 blocks away. The A/C didn't work in the entire hotel and the room itself left MUCH to be desired. The chain was broken as if someone had kicked the door in. Tacky decor. Slow elevators. But a good location.

It was just what we wanted!
By ,
My husband and I took a weekend getaway, and stayed at the Four Points Sheraton Miami Beach. After reading some poor reviews, we were a little concerned about how our stay would be. Needless to say, it was wonderful. The staff couldn't have been more courteous, helpful, or friendly. The room service was quick and delicious. And, we were so comfortable. We will definitely recommend it to our friends, and we will be staying at the same place next time we venture off to Miami!

We Really Liked Our Stay
By ,
We were originally staying in South Beach then moving on to Key West when Tropical Storm Ernesto came. We had to leave our South Beach hotel and needed another place to stay. The Four Points booked us with no problems. When we came to the desk, the clerk was very nice and upgraded our room to an oceanfront view with a balcony. It was great. The room overlooked the ocean and was beautiful. The room was clean and the bed was the most confortable of our trip. In the hotel's restaurant, the service was excellent, the food was tasty and our daughter ate free (6 and under). The hotel's manager went around to all the guests to assure them that there were not going to be any issues with Ernesto. We asked for extra towels prior to the storm's arrival and they brought them within ten minutes. We had a front row seat for the storm, and despite the fact that the room's carpet got a little wet, they were willing to move us to another room without even the slightest delay. This was a great place to go to the beach. It wasn't crowded, there was no resort fee, and there was no lengthy walk to the water. There is not much to do outside the hotel. It is too far to walk to Lincoln Street and there aren't many places to eat on that stretch of Collins Ave. That being said, I would still bring my family here again. The service was really good, the parking is cheaper than at some of the other hotels, there is no charge for the internet, the pool and jacuzzi is nice and well maintained, and we had fun. If you want to take small children on vacation to Miami Beach, and don't want to stay in South Beach (South Beach is not for children), I would recommend this hotel. Thank You.
