Great Hotel
By wiredwitch, 12/21/05
My sister-in-law stayed here while visiting me recently, and can't say enough about the experience. She called to thank me for suggesting it, and told me that the service was incredible and the rooms were really nice. They could walk to the Metro or park in the garage, which they really liked -- and they loved that it was near so many restaurants and cafes. I'll definitely be suggesting it to the rest of my family and friends when they visit.

TOO far away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/9/05
The hotel was nice, the people/employees were very helpful. The hotel is located at DuPont Circle MORE than a "short walk" to the national mall, and historic buildings. The parking is outrageous! to pay $25.00 a day on top of staying at the hotel is absolutely ridiculous. The breakfast was VERY expensive. $32.00 for two people to have a very small "buffet" breakfast was gouging. The pool is very small and only 4' deep. I will not stay at this hotel again.

I only stayed one night. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. Parking is a bit expensive but it is on par with other Washington hotels.

Beware of this "4-star" hotel
By Kathleen, 9/9/04
This hotel is a dog. Over our three day stay there, we experienced the following: broken phone; broken pool; sheets that would not stay tucked in for longer than 30 seconds because the mattress was being supported on an elegant duct tape-lined piece of plywood and did not hold the sheets in place; stained and dirty floors, furniture and woodwork; holes in the blankets; malfunctioning door locks and internet access in the "business center" (1 computer); first room we were given looked out on a ventilation shaft; concierge who spent his time in the TV room; non-functioning lamps; small, dingy room. Hotwire rates this hotel as a 4-star, so I do not advise using Hotwire for a Dupont Circle hotel. Or pick a two-star hotel and get something decent.
