You can find a better place to stay ...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
The box spring covers were dirty, bathroom was not as clean as we would like, carpet is a bit damp, and there were only 3 sets of towels instead of 4. But this is a Holiday Inn, what do you expect? We specifically requested a "quiet" room when we checked in because we have 2 5-yr old kids. We slept fine until a VERY loud humming noise and vibration woke us up at 5:30 AM. It turned out that we were under a Jacuzzi suite. After we came home, I emailed the hotel manager. Here is Stepen Kale's reply : "Unfortunately, many hotels have whirlpool suites and it is not the hotel's responsibility to notify guests of the location of where these suites are, nor is it up to the hotel as to when the whirlpools are used. In the future, I suggest contacting the hotel prior to making a reservation to inquire about whether they have a whirlpool suite or not, and then perhaps you will get a good night's sleep. I do hope that you make better lodging decisions in the future." Is he trying to tell us that it was foolish of us to think that we would be able to get some sleep when we poorly chose Holiday Inn Express? He does not think we should have been informed that our room is under a Jacuzzi bathroom when we asked for a "quiet" room? Well, we will definitely follow his advice to "make better lodging decisions in the future" by not choosing this hotel again.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/07
This hotel is far from what they advertize. First it was dirty, obviously had not been dusted, and no vac other than traffic way. Food was really poor, and service was lousey. I had to stay for business, and was told this was a hotel that could accomidate with business center. Wrong! Location is so far off the beaten path, the differnce between room rates and other hotels was eaten up by cab fare. If you could get a cab.

I loved it so much that I remembered exactly what it looked like when we went back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
OMG! I love this hotel! Everything from the great restaurant to the outdoor pool to the cute little gift shop...everything is sure to make you have a great stay! Trust me...it will make your trip very memorable! I went when I was 9 and I am now 13 and I went again. I remembered exactly what it looked like from when I was 9....that's how memorable my stay was! They do everything they can to make your stay great! They even bake cookies and serve them for free at the front desk. It is a great little snack to have, whether you're coming in from the pool or even if you're visiting the little gift shop! Trust me...you'll love this place!!!!!!!!!

Terrible Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/06
We had a wedding to attend at 4:30 so we call the day of for an early check in. We also called every week leading up to our date. They said our rooms are ready and to "come on in." Well, upon arrival it was a different story. We were told our rooms weren't ready and that we couldn't check in till four. They had no solutions and were very rude. We missed the wedding. We stayed only because of the 24 hour cancellation policy. The room smelled, the TV was broke. When we called for towels in the morning, they told us to find a cleaning lady. Bottom line is do not stay at this establishment. The experience was terrible.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/05
It was pretty clean... Real basic hotel... Bed, TV, bathroom... They had a cafe but it was only open certain hours, same goes for the room service... Nice hotel for a quick trip and just a clean place to stay..

Tired...needs a facelift
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/04
The Hoilday Inn Georgetown is in a great location, but the hotel is worn and the rooms are way out of date. This place needs a serious facelift.
