You can find a better place to stay ...
The box spring covers were dirty, bathroom was not as clean as we would like, carpet is a bit damp, and there were only 3 sets of towels instead of 4. But this is a Holiday Inn, what do you expect?
We specifically requested a "quiet" room when we checked in because we have 2 5-yr old kids. We slept fine until a VERY loud humming noise and vibration woke us up at 5:30 AM. It turned out that we were under a Jacuzzi suite. After we came home, I emailed the hotel manager.
Here is Stepen Kale's reply : "Unfortunately, many hotels have whirlpool suites and it is not the hotel's responsibility to notify guests of the location of where these suites are, nor is it up to the hotel as to when the whirlpools are used.
In the future, I suggest contacting the hotel prior to making a reservation to inquire about whether they have a whirlpool suite or not, and then perhaps you will get a good night's sleep.
I do hope that you make better lodging decisions in the future."
Is he trying to tell us that it was foolish of us to think that we would be able to get some sleep when we poorly chose Holiday Inn Express? He does not think we should have been informed that our room is under a Jacuzzi bathroom when we asked for a "quiet" room?
Well, we will definitely follow his advice to "make better lodging decisions in the future" by not choosing this hotel again.
