Comfort Inn Dover, Dover

Stay was pretty good till I had went to the desk for a new remote and the front desk staff was rambling on about her poor husband that passed months and months ago. Okay first off, leave your business at home. It is very unprofessional to come to work and make it the customers problem of what is going on in your life, most people go to hotels for that reason, for a little get away. Very unprofessional. Besides this the two rooms I had got were great and price was very reasonable. Housekeeping and the rest of the staff were wonderful, and the evening desk personnel was very helpful with area direction she did a great job. The breakfast was great more than what I expected to be there. Overall i would stay again.

This hotel needs alot of work. We were in a smoking pet room (102). It was absolutely horrible. As smokers, we were sick to our stomachs. The smell of smoke could be smelled outside the closed door. The dead bolt was off the door and we kept a chair in front of it. The bathtub faucet leaked constantly. Don't think the placed was painted since it was built. Our dog didn't want to stay there either. Also the heat unit kicked on and off all night in 5 minute intervals. We would have been better off driving all night, because we didn't sleep. But staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
