Love It Staying Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/09
Picked this inn off the web and very glad we did. A wonderful place and away from the rat race of large franchised hotels. Rooms are compfy and the wonderful youngman with the pony tail was a gem. Had some good conversations with him. A wonderfully pleasant face early in the morning. Continental breakfast just enough. And what can you say about the location. If you want glitz and high rise, stay somewhere else. If you want relaxation and rest stay here.

Great Location, Not Worth The Price.
By DanielM, 08/23/08
Location is wonderful, within walking distance to everything. The lady at the desk seemed annoyed that we were bothering her when we went to check in. The rest of the staff throughout the stay were very friendly. Rooms are clean, views from the building we stayed in are of the sidewalk. Keep at least the fan on througout the night, the road noise inside the room is horrible. Continental breakfast is nice. The Bathroom in our room needs a little TLC. The corners of the shower on the outside have a little caulking and mold problem. The shower in the room in ridiculous. I am 5'11 and could not even get myself into the shower barely, your elbows are smashing into the walls the whole time. Okay hotel, with great location, semi-friendly staff, still not worth the $ 159.00 a night.

I Love This Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/08
I love everything about the Whalers Inn, in Mystic, CT. The rooms are clean and large, the amenities are perfect, the beds comfortable and inviting the complimentary breakfast fresh and filling, the most perfect location within waling distance to everything..But mostly it is the staff...The best in the area.....I will only stay at this Inn whenever I visit Mystic Ct.

Wonderful place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/07
My husband and I spent two nights there for our anniversary. We stayed in the luxury suite in the hoxie house. We loved it. The place was very clean. The view was wonderful. We could see the drawbridge and river from our room. The gas fireplace and whirlpool bathtub were very nice and romantic. The continental breakfast was ok. The first morning we were there it had a more variety of food where as the second morning there (Sunday) not as much of a variety. But overall the stay was very nice and we would definately stay there again for sure!!

The Whaler's Inn provided five-star service, comfortable rooms and an awesome location. For the price, it was a superb value! The staff was exceptional!

A Charming Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/07
We recently stayed at the Whaler's Inn. Our room was cozy and very clean. I was impressed by the the complimentary continental breakfast which included pastries, fruit, bagels, english muffins, pacackes, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice! The only negative was that our room faced the street so we heard the traffic but otherwise the staff was very friendly - We would definately stay here again the next time we visit Mystic.

I'll be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
I love the location! Walking to dinner each night was the best! The service was awesome too! They were always so nice & gave great advise! You can tell they know and love the area too. The rooms were cozy and different. I peaked in a couple of rooms and each one is special in itself. The complimentary continental breakfast was the best I have ever seen before too! Everything was great!

the best place in mystic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/06
we had a wonderful stay with a great staff and beautiful room. book early because all the rooms are different (our friends room was smaller; they booked a week before) and it's a popular place. felt like home, the bar (bravo bravo) made a great drink, and the hotel staff felt like friends we've known for years!

Depressing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/06
Great location but a terrible room. After removing the long hairs from the tub's last occupant it was downhill from there. Relegated to an extremely small, dark, not very clean, room in the house next door to the inn was depressing enough. The queen bed took up most of the room. The window air conditioner was extremely loud and annoying. I would have opened the only operable window in the room, but the screen was broken and more bugs would have come in. My expression of unhappiness upon check-out was met with "Oh, that's too bad". The lack of concern for a guest's comfort was appalling.

A Repeat Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/06
My husband and I love this place. We stay here all the time when we are in the area for a night or two. Warm and cozy in the winter, the gas fireplaces are wonderful on a cold snowy night. Will stay again and again.
