I WOULD GO BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/09
The hotel is located very conveniently in Mystic, my purpose was the Aquarium, which was like 4 minutes away. I was reluctant to know this Hotle offer discounted tickets, at least $4.00 less than the actual price at the Aquarium. The hotel is very clean to say the least. I especially like the fact that they have a "NO PET" Policy. The break-fast was average, nothing to rave about and the service is plesant. The rooms are very clean and the bed quite comfortable. My only complaint is that what I signed for on my receipt was not what reflected on my bank statement. This bothered me, because they were charging me and extra $6.00. But after calling and speaking with the manager, they informed me that my safe-deposit was not yet credited and sure enough a day later, the correct amount showed on my statement. I was pleased. If needs be, I would definitely return. I speent Memorial weekened here 5/22/09 - 5/24/09

average but convienent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/09
The best thing about this place is the location. 2 blocks from the aquarium. 1 mile from the seaport, and about 9.5 miles from foxwoods (if you take the backroads). The breakfast was average. The mattress on the bed was very saggy. The room was basically clean except for a bobby pin in the middle of the floor, but there was about 3 sheets of t.p. left on the roll when we checked in. We probably will try someplace else if we ever need to come back that way.

I'm going back with the kids
By Katie, 07/11/08
What sets the Days Inn in Mystic apart from the other hotel in this area and this price is the pool. I was looking for 1 outside as the weather was perfect for swimming a sun bathing. While there were other hotels with outdoor pools this 1 had the largest. The kids there seemed to be having a blast right up until dark. The room was clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast and breakfast area were terrific. They were upgrading the carpeting in the halls which wasn't great but I was impressed that it was being changed at all. There was nothing wrong with the old, it must've just been time. Each section was completed in a day so it wasn't really that bad. Location was great for me. It was just north and across the street from the shopping area "Olde Mystic Village". If you take a left out of the drive, you go up to Foxwoods, a right and you go down to the Seaport and the village. Don't be fooled by the shabby looking Days Inn sign when you pull in. It belies the clean, modern interior.

One of the best we have stayed in!
By Hazel, 05/03/08
The people were courteous and friendly. We even got breakfast even though we were late, and with a smile from Shirley! Extra pillows and towels were already in the room which was immaculate! Bathroom was clean with a good hot shower! We will definitely be back. Good job Days Inn!! Hazel & Manny

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
Upon check in, we were given a smoking room instead of our confirmed non-smoking room. We were told there weren't any non-smoking rooms available. Then, they made us change rooms for the 2nd night....we had to check out by 11 AM, then check back in later that day. The bathrooms in both rooms were covered with mold on the ceiling and shower head (we took pictures and will contact the health dept). Hotel management was not available, and the staff was awful! If you want a pleasant trip to Mystic (we visit Mystic often), stay at the Marriott Residence Inn.

completely average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
We had two rooms. Both had mold in the bathroom grout. The bathrooms were small and the sinks are outside the toilet area, which I detest. There was no towel rack in the sink area. The bathroom had no place to put anything down, no shelf; just a hook on the door. (A common hotel failing.) The rooms were adequate, nothing special. The beds were too hard. The price included a nice continental breakfast. But it closes at 10:00 am, which is too early for some vacationers. The outdoor pool was unheated and started at 4' deep, so it wasn't very kid-friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, completely average and forgettable. Next time we go to Mystic, we will try someplace else.

Sweet port in a storm
By saline, 08/17/06
Post storm blackouts caused the hotel in which we had reservations to redirect us to Days Inn. Mystic was in some chaos. But Days Inn wasn't. It was welcoming and provided a room to our specifications on the spot. Apart from my kiddie hand smears on the window, the room was clean and fragrant, although it was a smoking room. The sheets were of high quality and the free wireless internet access was excellent. Ditto the complimentary breakfast - a bit of a free-for-all, but generous and well run. The cook-it-yourself fresh waffles were stunning - once one worked out that one had to turn the waffle iron.

Good Value & Location .Nice trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
Close to Old Mystic Village Shopping and Steak Loft Restaurant -10 min to Mystic Seaport and about 20 min to Foxwoods . Good Value. Room came with microwave, refrigerator and couch. I'd stay again, but pick up copy of Thruway Coupon Book if your from NY and you may be able to get room cheaper if you don't make advance reservations Mon-Thur. I paid higher price but it was worth it. If your sightseeing, be sure to take drive to Stonington.Nice views from the point
