The Boulders Inn is outstanding!
By a yahoo contributor, 10/26/08
I love the Boulders Inn. It is a charming and relaxing get away. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and accommandating. The sunsets at the lake are amazing. I can't wait to go there again. I highly recommend The Boulders to all.

Don't Go!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/06
I'm happy that Yahoo has now a place to write a review for this inn because I was angry that this place could be so pricey and have such bad service. I've stayed at many hotels and inns in my life, and thought that this would be a peaceful serene experience. The location is beautiful-- but once you're exposed to the toxic staff (especially the Manager-- don't complain, she'll just get angry!) you want to leave as fast as possible. For $450 a night my expectations might have been high (I expected to be able to have room service when their dining room was closed-- call me crazy-- and a lawn mover outside my window at 7:30 a.m. just added insult to injury). For the same price I can stay at the Relais Chateau up in the Adirondaks and feel like I've been to heaven and back.

absolutely awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/06
Setting is indeed pretty, but as someone in the community so aptly put it "Boulders Inn is a shame to the community". Can they really be charging these prices?! Their staff is incompetent, surly and the manager is rude-- and when we are paying $450 for the night I expect her to change out of her sweats before coming to work!! For the price of a round trip ticket to Paris we got a room without a view, were told we could not get room service and when we asked for a cup of tea in the front lobby got the tea without a cup! Even the food in the restaurant was o.k. and that too was the price of a dinner at the Four Seasons in NYC! The only good thing about this place are their beds-- for the money go next door to the Mayflower Inn-- for the same price you'll have a proper luxury experience!

The Perfect Escape!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/05
We were looking for a real getaway without going too far from home and this worked out great! The suite we stayed in was so romantic and relaxing - with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. We never wanted to leave. We had romantic dinners with excellent wine and relaxing days. It was the perfect getaway to rejuvenate - surrounded by nature, the lake, and even a mountain for hiking. We loved it and would highly recommend it to all of our friends.
