Walked In & Loved It

While traveling over Independence Pass, the
wife and I decided to "stay a night" in Aspen. After trying to get accommodations without resevations and being treated like second class citizens and quoted exhorbitant rates to stay one evening, we finally stumbled into the Hotel Aspen. They made us feel at home. Although the hotel exterior is rather dated, the rooms were clean, staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast and breakfast room was the bomb! Thumbs up to the staff who made us feel welcome in a town where other hotels seemed to want to take advantage.
