I like the lodge !!
By ,
We are an owner with a week every July . Makes a great base of operation to see the sights in Colorado . Family of five we fit fine . Scheduling did not allow us to be there this year went to Gulf Coast but miss Co . I am glad to hear that all units will have ac next year but being from Texas 80 degree days and 40 degree nights in July/ August was wonderful . Staff was good any issues fixed promptly . Tip do stay close to the Subway .Looking Fwd to our stay in 2013 !!

Don't go in the summer
By ,
The room was very clean and staff was great. But the room was hot and on the interstate side. We finally decided the highway noise was better than the heat. We had to get up at 4:00AM and the last time I looked at the clock it was 12:30AM.

Love this place
By ,
I own there and go for ski season every year. Great staff, rooms are small, but comfy, and with the opening of the new gondola it is almost ski-in-ski-out! I agree with some other reviews that it is not modern or glitz, but I defy anyone to find a better condo value in the Vail/BC area,

It was our first time using timeshare!
By ,
I have to say that so many folks have complained about the location of the elevator and the walkiing, no complaints from us! staff was wonderful!! size of unit was fine- we had 4 adults and the other unit had 3 adults and 2 babies! No complaints on size. It was so centrally located that was a real plus! Only downer was that one of the 2 units had an awful odor!!! When I complalined got instant response but----it did not help! We either got used to the smell (smokey) or it did decrease! All and all it was a great stay!!!!

Dissappointing...will NOT return
By ,
First off, the good: The Concierge service was EXCEPTIONAL!! They were all helpful in booking and planning fun things to do in the area. They were the best I have encountered at any resort/hotel we have stayed in years of travelling. Now the bad: the maintenance of the pools/hot tubs was bad (the outdoor pool was clean for the first two days and then was filthy the remainder of our 1 week stay, despite 3 straight days of complaining). Also, the hottubs were in/out service the entire time. The housekeeping staff was heard shouting across the hotel (in spanish), they were complaining that the people in the room they were cleaning were "pigs". If your going to talk bad about your customers you ought to do it in private and NOT assume the non-hispanic people don't understand Spanish. Seems funny to complain when they only service the units once a week. The size of the unit was much smaller than expected. The unit was advertized to comfortably sleep 4, but was more akin to 2.5 people. The fold out beds look to be 30 years old with 30 year old matresses. The units looks to have about 300-400 square feet with too much furniture....making it fun to try and navigate with more than 2 people in the unit. Overall: The Christie Lodge is close to tons of GREAT things to do any time of year, but don't spend your time in the lodge.....you will be dissappointed.

Great Casual Vacation Digs
By ,
Love the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Not luxury/status condos -- but still nice, plenty comfortable and conveniently-located. Ours was immaculate, quiet, and in perfect working order. Concierge is extremely knowledgeable and knew all the less-known secret hideouts for those of us that don't want to be a vacationing leming. I will return here every year. Good value for the dollar, easy checkin and checkout, helpful staff. 5 stars.

Not very nice at all
By ,
I didn't book it because the realtor was sarcastic, rude and very unprofessional!! I believe first impressions are lasting, and this condo needs to find a better realtor.

Don't go in summer
By ,
I was there the last week of August this year and found my unit was very noisy and hot. The lodge is by the Interstate and on a major intersection and you get a lot of street noise. There is no A/C, which is normal for the mountains, but the only airflow in your unit is when you open the patio door and the exit door. I was never able to get the room temp below 75, even using the box fan in the unit and the ceiling fan. Winters are probably okay, but the noise would still there. If you stay here ask for a unit in the east wing facing south, that will have the least noise. Also, the one bedroom units are very small-four people would be very cramped.
