The people were as rude as you will find anywhere. Just try and ask for something. Not a problem, the answer is no! A perfect example of California buckethead hospitality come to the mountains. An opertunistic tourist trap to be sure.
The place is in a beautiful location, but the accomodations availiable for summer rental are dirty and the landlord is very unpleasant and unwilling to assist the residents. Be warned that although the price is low, the cabins are bat and mouse infested and the landlord will not help because she claims it is to be expected when one is living in a rustic accomodations.
Rustic should not mean dirty and infested with vermin.
It is in a beautiful location though, and the price is fairly low.
This is absolutely the best place to stay with a group of people. You can get away from everything here! There is a nice heated pool and tons of other activities from snowmobiling to wildlife. And you don't even have to leave the ranch to go out there is a bar on site.
