La Quinta Inn Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs

Ive read some bad reviews of this motel and am really confused as our stay was a delight. The woman at th front desk was delightful even when we had an issue with hotwire messing up a reservation - the room was a bit small but spotless clean and the beds were super comfy. The heated outdoor pool was fantastic and it was quiet and lovely. Would stay here again and again. Thanks!!!!

the pool was great, clean and heated with plenty of towels. Hotel is in a good location and very friendly staff (front desk, maitenance, and housekeeping) Our family stayed for 5 nights. We had a room by the pool, and the carpet needed cleaning. Our feet turned black from walking around the room. There was a strong odor of carpet cleaner and past pets. We almost moved to a room on the 2nd floor that did not have those problems but decided against it due to the inconvenience of getting down to the pool and parking lot with young kids and pets. The toilet was slow to flush and bathroom fan didn't work so the room felt very humid and moist. We got a refrigerator for $5 a day, and it had left over sicky cola on the bottom of it. There is one washer and dryer. We stayed here for the pets, breakfast and pool and needed something low budget. Free internet was a bonus. Staff was accommodating if you just asked them nicely. I didn't see any bed bugs either :) if you're looking for a cheap place to crash after a day of sightseeing, or go to sleep after a swim, it's probably what you'd need. But if you want a place to lounge and relax, and spend a lot of time inside the room I wouldn't recommend it.

Reservations were a snap! The gentleman was very helpful and polite. Our check in was smooth. The lady was very polite and helpful. We had a courtesy call within 10 minutes of arriving in our room making sure everything was okay and asking if we needed anything else. There was a note in our room informing us of vandalism in the area. Thank you much to the hotel for keeping guests informed. We will definetly return.
