The worst place ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/7/05
It finally happened to me - I was snowed by doctored up pictures on the internet! Imagine my surprise when I actually pulled into the Ironhorse Inn and saw that it was the sort of place I hadn't stayed since college when I couldn't afford any better! Although the price tag wasn't small either! I should have been clued in when, upon checking in, the poor desk clerks (who were actually rather friendly) were surrounded by irate customers. The second clue came when, while looking for our "suite" we saw a young man trying to break in the window of one of the rooms. My first order of business was to clean the bathroom - add another $7 to my list of costs since I had to purchase cleaning products. The pool was something out of a nightmare, complete with filthy hot tub, surrounded by old band-aids (which were not picked up either day we stayed). You are perhaps asking why we continued to stay - well, I assure you the minute I saw the place, I was on the phone trying to rectify that situation. Unfortunately, the town was booked up for July 4th and we wound up staying both days, much to my dismay. I would not ever, ever go back.
