Front Desk People Rude
By Carl, 11/22/09
I disliked the inattentive front desk staff. Monica was no assistance to my wife and I and we were in shock with her attitude. We complained and have yet to hear from management.

How much can one person take?
By dissatisfied, 11/14/08
I could go on and on about my recent experience with the Warwick. My husband and I have stayed their several times in the past and had wonderful experiences. This last time was SO bad, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!! They were/are remodeling (which is great), but we were never informed of that and certain ameneties were unavailble due to that fact. But, we were understanding. Cleaning service needs improvement. The management was beyond unprofessional in taking care of issues. Most of the time, there was supposedly no one "in" to help us. I didn't metion anything. If nothing goes wrong with your visit, it should be a pleasant experience. But, I have never gone through ANYTHING like this at ANY hotel EVER. If you go, best of luck to you!

What a DUMP!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/08
I saw that guy that people have described in the reviews, the Manager guy. What a DORK! His pants were all high-water and his shirt was all wrinkled up. I saw him and could not help but laugh, remembering the reviews that i had read! I just had to confirm that this guy really does work at this dumpy hotel!!"HA-HAHAHA!!!"

VERY NICE
By DIANE, 11/13/07
Our room was very spacious and clean. Nice view of downtown. The location was very easy to get to. Quite convienent to the 16th Street Mall shuttle - only 2 blocks for walking. Abundance of low cost parking available within 1 block radius instead of valet or hotel parking which was pricey. Town car was available and prompt. Restaurant was cozy - nice for a late night drink. Staff was welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for their accomodations, locations and price!

Overpriced with non-existent service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/07
My recent stay at this hotel was not a good experience. There was a leak in the cieling that had made an entire side of the room soaking wet, which they failed to take care of during our stay, blaming the leak on snow melting from the outside balcony. Upon checking out, the manager was less than cordial about the situation and would only concede a $50 discount on the room. The room was very much overpriced for the quality of the hotel, which is not nearly as good as advertised on most hotel-discount websites. It took the staff an hour to deliver 6 glasses that I had asked for when I checked in. They did not deliver a roll away bed I ordered unitl well after 11:00 pm The location is ok, but you will still have to take a cab to get anywhere in the city, especially if the weather stays as it has been recently. Not a good deal by any means.

Don't ever stay here...reservations not honored
By dan, 08/07/06
I booked reservations a month in advance for a stay at the Warwick from Aug. 4-Aug. 6. I was in town for only two days to see a concert. When I arrived they stated that they "oversold" the rooms -- which the desk clerk stated happens frequently because of the marketing department is commission-based and their employees receive their commission even if the hotel is overbooked. The desk clerk told me I needed to find another hotel -- at 2 a.m. on a Thursday morning. After asking to see the manager, they finally agreed to put me up at a Marriott free of charge for the first night. The manager told me my second night would be free with a letter they gave me. The Marriott in Cherry Creek was an extremely nice hotel. To make a long story short, I am now trying to fight the $400 charge the Cherry Creek Marriott has placed on my Visa (despite honoring the letter I gave them from the Front Desk of the Warwick). The next day, the Warwick would not honor the letter they gave me the night before stating my stay would be free, or the rate that I booked on-line at their website. Not only that, the Warwick has charged me for both nights. I didn't even stay the first night at the Warwick, because they sent me to another hotel they claimed they would pay for. As for the location, it's great. However, the rooms are not that nice at all for the price. The "balcony" consisted of decaying, wet and moldy carpet with no deck furniture of any kind. The Randolph Restaurant was very good. This hotel could be very nice, but it's old and needs a lot of renovations. I'm usually not picky about things like this, but somehow my experience made me take a close look at everything at the Warwick. Do yourself a favor and don't book a reservation here. You’re asking for trouble. I must be a lucky person. I've traveled throughout the world and never had a problem like this before. I've been bumped from flights, etc. but never lied to, overcharged and left hanging so blatently. Dan Kuemmel Chicago, IL

I would stay somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/06
We had a beautiful room, but not the one requested. On check in, they failed to reserve the room requested and didn't offer to compensate us for the change. The hotel staff seemed indifferent to our presence. When I go on vacation, I want to feel a little pampered, I wasn't here. I would recommend it as a place more for the business traveler. We're going to Denver again and staying in a different hotel.

Hate It!!
By LisaM, 09/30/05
I got the worse service!!! When I checked it they assisted several other customers before me even though I was the first to arrive. The next day I asked the Manager for directions to a specific mall that had a bookstore. He told me that I didn't look like a person into books. I look more like a person into shopping and gave me directions to a different mall. I told the manager that I which I knew that fact before attending law school!!!

Very Good Deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/05
After nine hours of driving, we checked in very late (almost midnight). It saved us a lot that the hotel is located in the easy to find part of the downtown Denver. Although we entered the building from the parking lot (not through a main entrance), the lobby was cozy and very inviting. The person at the front desk was very friendly. The room (standard room) was very nice, clean, and quiet (good sound proofing). It was well designed (or laid-out) so that we felt the room was roomy and relaxing. Because our room was on the 12th floor, a view was nice (having balcony was a plus too). After going through the crazy conference schedule at another hotel in the downtown, it felt really good to be back in the room. Parking cost $9.50 a night. We thought it was reasonable because we noticed the hotel secuity in uniform on foot in the parking lot any time (even after mignight) we were there. Since we drove our own vehicle there, it was very reassuring. We chose Warwick after reading several very detailed positive reviews on Yahoo Travel and ePinions. They all turned out to be accurate. We are very glad we picked Warwick Hotel Denver. For $165.10 a night in the downtown Denver, we felt it was a very good deal.
