I loved the this hotel but Please READ...
By jamie, 1/18/09
I am an EscortCompanion who travels alot to many different US cities and was planning a trip to the Denver area for business and needed a nice place to stay at a reasonable price for my incall location(where the client comes to me).I came accross the burnsley hotel on a hotel web site and thought the pictures looked great plus all the nice reviews.I got a room for the week and every thing was fine until i set up an appointment with a client to come spend an hour with me and on his way up to the room he was stopped by the staff at the hotel and asked what room he was going to,for his id and to sign in.I can appreciate the hotel security for the sake of the hotel guests safety but as you can see their are all different kinds of guest staying at the burnsley and what does it matter who comes to visit a hotel guest as long as nobody is making any kind of trouble?Come on this really messed up my work week as my clients want a "Discreet Encounter" when they come to visit me and this really made my clients uncomfortable as well as make it BAD for an Escorts business.Escorts and Clients i do NOT recommend this hotel for those of you ladies needing an upscale hotel to host your incalls that's a bit more discreet stick with the sheraton, hilton and hyatt ect as i have stayed in those hotels many times and never had such a problem.I really did love this hotel other than the trouble my client and myself had to go through from the front desk staff.I really like this hotel better than the top chain hotels because for some reason i loved the fact that it is an older boutique style hotel and that's what i was looking for SomethingDifferent than the chain hotels and Boy that's exactly what i got and more...By having my work week messed up.Unfortunately this situation had to happen because the burnsley would have been my new #1 choice of hotel in denver where i would of stayed many more times if it wasn't for what me or my client had to experience.I will say the hotel is a lovely place just not for escorts trying to have a discreet place for their clients.Come on yes keep the hotel guests Safe but don't babySit the people. The hotel staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The rooms are awesome and the place is in a great location.I loved the lounge and live jazz music.I would of gave it a 5star if not for what happened.

Terrible Experience
By Business traveler, 10/28/08
I am a frequent business traveler and recently was subjected to the Burnsley in Denver. Terrible customer service at the front desk and apathetic management lead to a fight for a refund on a prepaid room which was denied. Horrible to feel unwanted in a 5 star hotel, thought I would warn anyone that prefers a friendly customer service when away from home.

Frozen Four
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/14/08
In Denver April 10-13, 2008 for the NCAA, Frozen Four. Great hotel with a wonderful staff, they were very accommodating at every level. Room was large and very clean. Small kitchen was a plus. Free shuttle and parking also a nice feature. Would recommend without hesitation. The Burnsley added significantly to a great stay in Denver. AJR

Off the Beaten Path
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/06
Affordable, friendly, great food in Uptwon Denver. Rooms are huge with kitchens, so great for families or relocation accomodations. In a residential neighborhood, so not a lot of sightseeing in walking distance, but I felt like I was in the "real" city of Denver.

Families Beware!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/06
Our family of four really wanted to stay at this hotel. However, while attempting to make a reservation we found that hotel policy is not very family friendly. In this "all suite hotel" there is no guarantee that you can book a suite that has sleeping accommodations in separate rooms for the parents and the children. The Capitol suite with two queens in one room is the only accommodation that guarantees that you can sleep up to four people. The Colorado suite (and presumably, the Denver suite) have sofa sleepers in only some suites--not all--available on a first come/first serve basis. As the person at reservations explained to me, you cannot book a suite and guarantee the sleeper. Prior guests in a room with the sleeper who wish to extend their stay have first priority. You may arrive and find yourself out of luck. As this person explained to me, their emphasis is on the business traveler, not on families. She admitted that her job would be alot easier if the hotel management equipped all the Colorado and Denver suites with the sofa sleeper. She claimed that the concession to families is the pool. Oh, boy! If you don't want to sleep in the same room with your children, I'll bet that the furniture at poolside reclines to make an adventurous, if not very private, overnight stay at the Burnside. But check with reservations to see if it is available on a first come/first serve basis!

great hotel, roomy suites
By andrea, 8/24/05
Loved this hotel because of the kitchenette with full fridge, stove/oven, sink, etc. Your suite is essentially a one or two bedroom apartment, fully furnished. It's pretty nice, and the view is also pretty impressive. The outdoor pool was closed when we were there, which was a bit of a disappointment, though.

BUNKING @ THE BURNSLEY
By marlene, 6/6/05
When I first got there I was simply amazed that a quaint hotel still existed in the heart of Denver. It may not have 500 rooms,or underground parking, yet it had style and flair like no other hotel I have stayed in. My room had that grand ol style of when traveling was filled with luxurious vintage furniture of days gone by, a balcony with a magnificient view of down town area and the simple idea of having the newspaper delivered to my front door each day. Even with the location, I found it very easy to get to, as I left my car in their parking lot, and walked to near by establishments in and around the down town area. Staying there again would be a pleasure for this time I certainly would include my husband for I know he too would enjoy the stay.

The best chocolate cake--nice room too
By Ann H, 5/11/05
The room is large and comfy- the afternoon snacks are apples but in the late afternoon the chocolate cake is divine. Almost did not have room for the really good food in the dining room. This hotel is quite a find. Ann
