Don't be fooled!
Let me say first that this place looks nothing like the photos that pop up when you do a search of Durango hotels: it's not historic and it's not in the historic downtown or even within comfortable walking distance.
Our room was really dingy. Although advertised as "non-smoking," it smelled like someone had been smoking non-stop in it for the last 25 years and the hotel had sprayed some cheap deoderizer to try to mask the stench. You'll want to keep your clothes on so as not to make contact with any of the surfaces.
The bed linens are nasty -- very worn and all have this ridiculous writing in permanent marker stating "Adobe Inn" on them, as if someone would want to steal them.
To add insult to injury, even though my credit card had been charged immediately upon making the reservation, the front desk clerk insisted it had not and told me that she needed my cc to charge me.
If price is the ONLY thing that matters, you might be able to tolerate this place. Personally, I think it's worth the extra $20 to stay in a decent hotel a couple of miles away and near the attractions people come to Durango for in the first place.
