The most comfortable I have ever been in a hotel!
By spike, 05/30/09
We have a Sleep Number bed at home were thrilled to find out they were available at this hotel. Neither one of us had back problems for the entire trip which is very unusual. We had an issue with our card keys the 3rd night and they had the situation rectified in a matter of minutes. We didn't even have to go to the front desk, they sent someone out in a golf cart very quickly with new key cards. The location is central and very easily accessible from the freeway. We were very happy with our stay and will be staying at this hotel from now on when we make our annual trip to Sacramento.

surprised at how bad the service was.
By yeah, 12/07/08
Night time manager was incompetent caused us a long wait w.o. any apology. Room was so so. Carpet was in need of some deodorizing. Train traffic is very annoying. Rooms are somewhat soundproofed still a train is pretty hard to miss. Employees working near by were loud. Pool, bar, rest. all moderate at best. Vending machines have sodas only no snacks or food service past 9pm (overpriced appetizers till11pm) The property seemed to do a lot of lower end corporate parties lots of drunks and bad music played pretty loud. Also rooms are up to a 1/3 of a mile walk to the lobby. would never stay here on my own dime and would request another hotel if on corporate travel.

Absolutely Fabulous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/08
The ambience of the hotel is like nothing I expected - it's like a little oasis in the middle of the city. The beautiful lake with the fountain in the center, the duck and geese, I found it very relaxing. I had dinner in the restaurant and the service and food were great. I would (and have!) definitely recommend this place.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!!
By Regindenise, 09/11/08
When I checked in they overcharged me, as they have others I see. The rooms are small, carpet is very filthy, the sleep number bed was so uncomfortable. The pool was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen! There was hair, cigarette butts and cups floating inside. And to top everything off, 3 days after I checked out they still hadn't taken the hold off of my credit card. I had to call my credit card company where they advised me to call the hotel back. After being on hold for over 10 minutes, they finally came back and said the hold had been taken off after saying I wasn't taking their word over my credit card company, they said they would call the 800 number themselves and to call back tomorrow morning. Bottom line, I don't recommend this hotel to anyone! Not even my worst enemy!

I can hear the whistle blow
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/07
The noise from the train that runs behind the hotel is a constant. You can count on being woken up at least every 2 hours by the train's whistle. Even after I bought ear plugs I could still hear the train. The ear plugs did help muffle out the gas being delivered to the Costco gas pumps and trash pick ups at 5 am in the morning . I would never stay here again.

Missed the mark
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/07
The hotel is in dire need of remodel. The rooms are old, carpets are dirty, housekeeping mediocre, and ground level rooms with doors that access outside don't feel safe.

Would never stay here again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/07
I would never stay at this hotel in my life again... The Service was so bad I had to wait 30min just to check in... They had one person working the front desk. When i finally got to check-in there was a really nice agent by the name of Anthony that met my every need. I also observed a manager by the name of Lauire Spurlock at the front desk be unwilling to help anthony out

Comfy and quaint
By Lisa, 04/11/07
The hotel is a little old, but well kept. The staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious, but we didn't love the sleep number beds, just not our preference. The small pond behind the rooms was really pretty. There were geese and ducks with newly hatched babies and it was endearing. There were also large coi fish that were pretty. We got a cab ride to the downtown area- meet them at the front. We paid an extra $2 for them to pick us up at our room! Not a bad stay at all :)

Beautiful Scenery
By Jessica S, 04/03/06
Outside the city, make sure you have transportation available. Beautiful lawn and scenery. With good weather, nice seating by the pond. Rooms are nice and well kept, as well as bathrooms. Good bar and restuarant. Large hotel grounds, perfect for walking around.
