13 reviews for Oceanside Marina Suites, Oceanside
Wish I had read more reviews before booking
By Michelle, 01/01/10
When I found this place on-line it looked beautiful. Was looking for a nice place to spend our Anniversary. It's a good thing we got a good rate or I really would've been upset. When we first walked in it felt dirty. The carpet was "FILTHY". I had to put a sheet on the couch before I'd sit on it. There was "RESIDUE" on the toilet seat, even with the sani wrap!! The towel bar was hanging, the sink had not been properly cleaned and there was black hair all over. Do not go barefoot, YUCK. I had black hair on my socks and even found some in the freezer. The fridge was not clean and the ceiling fan lights did not work. The first 2 nights the people upstairs I swear were bowling. They had kids running all over. I called the office after 9:00pm, they said the would call,Not sure if they did, the noise went on until after 12AM..I guess I could go on...the view was nice and the bed was comfy. Think twice before going here!!

My father had a stroke and we came to help him and my mother to get some rest. To our surprise my father really enjoyed himself and came back to his rehab with alot of improvement. Thanks to Michelle & Dawn and their staff, they really made our stay enjoyable, this is our second visit this year. We will be back again soon. Our family really appreiciates what you have done for us.

Once was not enough...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/08
We accidently found this place and are we glad we did...awesome view, great scenery and big comfy rooms...the full kitchen was a plus but we BBQ'd poolside and took it all in. The front office girl was GREAT!! (Thanks Darcy!) We fished around the property, we sat on the marina edge and watched the boats come and go and we even watched the dolphins that swam into the marina...it was great..we would definately recommend this place to anyone looking for a great view, beautiful scenery and awesome rates...it can't be beat!! I'm actually on here right now hoping to book a room for our 21st anniversary...once just wasnt enough...this will be our third stay...

What a view!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/07
A nice little getaway on the harbor in Oceanside. The location is beautiful with lovely view of the harbor and the ocean which surrounds you on this inslet. The rooms are very nice and comfy. It is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway and you can still be local.

This is a very nice place to stay - We are going back for the 3rd time in less than a year!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/07
My husband and I visted OMS for the first time in November 2006. We were apprehensive due to the reviews we read, but the setting looked beautiful so decided to take a chance. We were so pleased upon our arrival. The landscaping against the backdrop of the Ocean and the Marina is just fabulous. We were given a 1 bedroon oceanview room that was nice. Because of the friendly service and lovely surroundings and great restaurants nearby, we decided to go back to the OMS in early July. I made our reservations through a third party, and when we arrived, OMS did not have our reservation. However, they went above and beyond customer satisfaction and was able to accommodate us with a beautiful room. It was so lovely and the setting was so relaxing, we ate dinner on our patio and watched the boats come and go through the marina. I thanked them the next morning and told them we would definitely return. In a couple of weeks we will be celebrating a 60th birthday and the only place we have chosen to stay for this occasion is the OMS. We will be staying for 3 nights and we know that the staff will go out of their way to make sure our stay is as enjoyable as they can possibly make it. During the summer, Captain Jack runs a shuttle boat to shops across the Marina and is a nice way of getting around in the area. Thank you Dawn and Chris for making our stays absolutely wonderful. We look forward to our next visit in a couple of weeks.

BAD!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/07
The hotel needs to be torn down and re-modeled... No A/C!! If you plan on going go during the winter because the heater is the only thing that works!

Unforgettably Dreadful!
By Supansa, 01/18/07
This place is awful. The day shift were too nosy but the night shift was great. NO a/c! Broken Fans! Broken doors! Broken Internet connection! Dirty kitchens. Breakfast is horrible. View is awesome. Your money is better elsewhere.

Bad Experience
By Stephen, 01/18/07
Only stayed for two nights and had a bad experience from the start. The lady at the front desk asked too many questions peering into my personal life. Where I from (I can handle)...what do you do (getting a little wierd). When I booked the room I was told I would get an ocean side view, personal patio, and a jacuzzi tub. I received a partial view...shared patio with everyone (broken screen door)...no tub...TV with no working remote...trashcan with trash in it...no internet access (apparently it was down)...and no A/C (actually the heater was on in 80 degree weather). I was busy during the day, so when I talked to a male staff member he moved me into the room that was originally promised...well almost...no a/c and no ocean view at all. The screen door was still broken. That night it was getting hot so I pulled a fan out of the closet to turn it on...and it sparked. I addressed the woman this time at the front desk and she said she had to check to see if she had one. She ended up giving me a stand up fan, but the knob to turn it on was missing and it had a hard time standing up because the pole from the floor was busted. The next morning I thought I would take advantage of their continental breakfast. It sure was no buffet...chunky milk and cereal with mushy fruit. Well that's our experience...hope yours is better.
