shampoo the carpet!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/09
badly in need of renovation...paint peeling on bathroom ceiling, carpets so filthy, we had filthy footprints on our towel/rug in the bathroom after walking to and from the bedroom. spider crawling on sheet when we woke up, no screen on bathroom window (on the street) You get what you pay for, but it was still way too much money for what we got! Check in guy was nice though. Whole place needs to be updated. Very shabby.

Dishonest and dirty!
By dannyboy, 03/16/09
I called ahead of time to find out about the property. We were looking for somewhere with a heated pool. The manager assured me that the pool was open and heated. When we got there, the first thing we did was look at the pool. Not only was it NOT heated, but it was filthy dirty full of cloudy gross looking water, so basically, we were lied to. Our room looked run down, the bed gave me a backache, the pictures on the wall looked water damaged and the towels that were hanging on the rack in the bathroom looked like someone had already used them. For $75.00 in the off season, I would rather have stayed at the Motel 6 for $53.00. The one thing I can say is that it is a great location, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. As for me, next time I'll be at the motel across the way with the spa.

A great family vacation!
By black widow, 11/04/08
We stayed here on our trip and we got the family suite. It was a good price and the kids were in the other room with their own TV and beds. Sometimes staying in a hotel or motel with kids can be motel hell, but it was great. The rooms were clean bathrooms as well and the pool was a added bonus for the kids. Nice friendly staff. We would stay there again.

Deceived!
By Michelle, 07/13/08
Always write about the good first,,The people who manage this location are very friendly and helpful; however, if you view the photos of this location to help you choose a hotel you must be warned that these photos must be quite old. The building is in need of renovation. I'm sure that it is cleaned; however, with mold and other wear on the room you wonder. The price is cheap for two bed room and location; however, I will go up a star in my next stay. Moro bay is beautiful; however, there seems to be a drinking problem in this community. My 14 year old daughter and I went our for a walk at 10pm and quickly encountered a couple falling down (literally) drunk. We proceeded into town and it seemed half the people we passed were well passed legal limits. What was worse some got into cars!!!!

Good with the bad?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/06
The Travelodge in Morro Bay has a good location near the Embarcadero and Morro Rock. The hotel office staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-kept. Parking was about average for this type of hotel. The downside is the lack of an air conditioner and internet connection in the room. The Pacific nearby was supplying the views, but not the climate, that we came for. In mid-July, there aren't very many places where a building can bask in the sun all day without getting hot enough to require air conditioning for a comfortable stay. Morro Bay wasn't one of them.

Good value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/06
Old building, but well renovated. Rooms are somewhat small, but quiet and comfortable. Management is friendly and the maid service is very good. Location is convenient; 2 blocks from the Embarcardero.
