Avoid
By Jay, 07/08/07
The room was clean and comfortable but unfortunately the good news stopped there. We had stayed there 3 weeks earlier and found that everything was ok except the spa didn't work. When we went back the next time the spa still did not work. We found that our refrigerator didn't work and neither did the microwave. It was 11:00 pm so we just went bed. The next day we complained to the Manager. He said that he couldn't do anything since the guy that fixes things left for the day. We had to hassle with all our food being kept on ice in the ice chest. The breakfast menu was sparse and they kept running out of things. An attendant was no where to be seen. Their circuit breaker kept going out so toaster and waffle iron kept going out. I heard someone at breakfast say their air conditioner didn't work and said no one ever came to fix it. Hmm, I am beginning to see a pattern. Things break and don't get fixed. On the third day, we called about the refrigerator and microwave again. They just offered to move us to another room. It was in a scary part of complex so we declined. We have small children we were worried about their safety. Their were strange looking people milling around the complex. The cops came once to arrest someone.

Avoid Comfort Inn Gilroy!
By Samson, 07/20/06
I stayed at this location a few months ago for one night and I was glad that I made reservations for one night. This was the worst of the lodgings that I have ever stayed at. First, I asked for a room on the first floor and instead got a room on the second floor. Second, I encountered a blackout in the middle of the night, while I was heating a leftover and turned on the TV to see what was on. Third, the room that I was in had bad TV channel reception. Majority of gas stations had squiggly lines, even the local NBC affiliate. Fourth, the internet in the lobby was always down. And fifth, it is not wheelchair accessible as there is no elevator. No access to the second floor. Complained the next morning about the room last night and was told that I would not be charged. When I got my credit card bill the next month, I found that I was billed for the room. Had to contact my credit card to dispute the charge and then write a letter to one of the credit card's many departments. I would seriously avoid Comfort Inn Gilroy.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Gilroy August 19 to 22, 2004. We really enjoyed our stay their a lot. We stayed in room 120 it had a King size bed. The room had a refrig, microwave & coffee maker with coffee, a nice size TV. Everything was nice and clean and the room was a nice size. Everyone that worked there was really friendly and helpful. The pool was a little to cool for me, but the spa was great. The continental Breakfast was great too. I am a diabetic and they even had things there that I could have. Really enjoyed staying their. It didn't cost us a lot either. We will definetly stay there again.
