Solvang Inn & Cottages, Solvang

My visit it Solvang was as pleasant a stay as we could have ever asked for. The staff was very professional. Made my family feel like their own. The location is perfect and the rooms terrific. Thanks for the experience

it was an ok place to stay , nothing special but it was in a great location I thought i got a mosquito bite while there , but it turned to boils probably a spider bite. it took antibiotics to heal it I won't be returning there

My husband and I stayed here about 3 years ago, when it was still called Three Kroner Inn, and although not impressed with the front desk treatment, we liked our room and enjoyed our stay. There is a small, clean jacuzzi and pool in a little courtyard enclosure, and table and chairs to relax on. The location is as central as it gets and the price(during midweek)was cheap. We returned this year and were a little worried by the reviews so we didn't make a reservation as we were coming midweek again. Instead we drove into town and looked around, but we decided to give it a try, as again the price couldn't be beat and it looked well cared for. With an AAA discount or a coupon from a tourist travel magazine it was $49.00 a night for a king size room that was clean and had everything one needs, and included a welcome bag of cookies from the bakery where you also get a small continental breakfast in the room rate. We had the desk clerk show us the room first, just to be sure, and were glad we stayed there again. The plumbing is a bit noisy in the morning if you are on the bottom floor, but we had heavy baggage and didn't want to haul it upstairs where it probably is a little quieter, but it was no worse than any other hotels of that age and building type, and convenient to have your car right outside.

I visit solvang 3 to 4 times a year I will only stay at the Solvang Inn all rooms are clean and I find the staff very kind and help full I have stayed at most all the hotels in solvang and the solvang Inn is the only one I will stay at.

I love how the five star rating is actually from the staff at the Inn. The staff, alone, is worth skipping this hotel. They were RUDE. Who's running this place? We will find a new spot the next time we go to Solvang. Steer clear.

Yes, it's now called Solvang Inn & Cottages at 1518 Mission Dr in Solvang. We also had a bad experience. There was a mix-up in the reservations and we ended up paying for two rooms. We attended a wedding at a nearby winery and the bride had accidently reserved two rooms in our name. We were not told this upon check-in. When we checked out the next day, they made us pay for both rooms. The lady at the front desk was HORRIBLE. I hope she wasn't the owner, but I think she was. She would not budge and just kept telling us that it was not her fault. The wedding party and guests took up a large amount of rooms that night. People came from all over the world and everyone who attended stayed there. It was a great deal of business for them, but they still would not come up with a solution or compromise. (besides making us pay twice) It may have been their policy and the mix-up was not their fault. But the worst part was how rude and condescending she was to us and the bride's family. The rooms were OK, but felt a bit musty. It was a terrible experience and we will never go back.

Bathroom and room recently remodeled. Very clean, bright, and cheery.Awesome location-across from best restraunt(Paulas pancake House) and bakery(Olsen's) in town.
