This comfortable country inn prides itself on not being a Victorian, so your rooms don't come with stuffed animals, etc. Wine Country Inn is designed to be a romantic getaway location, as it overlooks hills and vineyards. The rooms are all individually themed, and all of them are characterized by an ocean of colors and luxurious Old World style. Enjoy a nightcap by your private fireplace or a comfortable sleep on one of the huge beds. The antiques and the quilts and faux-painted walls will make your stay a pleasing one and the service is extremely attentive.

One of the best places to stay!
By Michael, 03/01/09
There's one negative review here - I'm not sure if that person stayed at the same Inn. This place is fantastic! The staff was wonderful and took care of everything we asked for. The Inn-cursion wine tour and the restaurant shuttle is the best way to taste the wine and enjoy dinner. We had no complaints at all during the entire stay (except the weather - it rained - but the staff can't control that!). It is not a cheap place to stay, but nothing in the Valley is. We fully enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts and the nightly wine tasting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a romantic getaway!

Our favorite place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/08
We have stayed at the Wine Country Inn many times, and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the area. The location is very convenient to downtown shops and so many wonderful wineries and restaurants. They will even provide a driver to and from the restaurants so guests can enjoy completely and not worry about driving. The people are just wonderful...friendly, always helpful, always glad to see us, very welcoming. The breakfasts are simply fabulous, and they even share their recipes! We like our room so much that we always request the same room, but friends who have travelled with us have had wonderful rooms, too. We ALWAYS recomment Wine Country Inn to friends.

Napa Garden of Eden
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/07
We like it all: Scenery, service, accommodations, breakfast, wine-tasting, staff, rose-garden, fragrances, pool, everything.... They even provide designated drivers to winetasting and restaurants! And a free quality corkscrew!

top-notch service and location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/06
This hotel was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The pool at the hotel is very quaint, as it sits amongst an active vineyard. Great views! The hotel brought in different local wineries every night for a happy hour with wine/cheese flights - a great touch. Can't wait to return this next year...

Totally romantic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
The Wine Country Inn has a great location, excellent breakfast and excellent afternoon wine tastings. We stayed at a bungalow with attached hot tub and enjoyed perhaps the most romantic weekend anywhere.

Terrible Experience - Don't Go!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/06
I had read several favorable review of the Wine Country Inn and was looking very forward to staying there - what a dissapointment. The people at the Inn were Begrudgingly and marginally hospitable. The breakfast was the same every day and was dreadful. The wine and refreshments in the afternoon were nothing more than a high pressure marketing ploy from local wine merchants. Certainly at $350.00 per night, I would have expected to get one decent glass of wine in three days, yet I did not. Even the slightest request of the staff was received as though it was a herculean task, and only half heartedly undertaken. The ONLY redeeming quality of this b & b is it's location. There are too many quality b & b's in Napa Valley. I simply cannot recommend this establishment.

Beautiful & Friendly Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/06
It is like a combination hotel and bed and breakfast, with really the best of both worlds. Very great food and the rooms are very nice with a beautiful view. The pool area was clean and overlooked a vineyard. Terrific place to stay.

We want to keep going back!
By Raul, 10/17/05
When the question arose of where to go for our last vacation this year, we couldn't help but return to this wonderful inn, making that 2 visits within 4 months. Why? - warm staff who make you feel at home, beautiful surroundings, extremely comfortable accomodations, great food. This time we stayed 4 nights in Rm. 23 which has a fireplace and private patio with hot tub and vineyard view. We loved it. The old adage "It's never as good the second time around" doesn't apply here. We hope to return again and again.

Stay once...Stay twice
By Judith, 09/01/05
We got to the Inn after dark from what seemed like a million mile drive from the Oakland airport (the only way to get there from Detroit). We were greeted by crisp cool air and the sound of coyotes calling, and answering each other from both ends of a long valley. The keys were waiting on the front door; the room cozy and secure. The next morning we were greeted by a bright sun and a warm green valley from our terrace outside the room. The main floor dining room was bright and flowing with the warm smell of a gourmet five cheese and egg breakfast with all the acoutraments. Muffins, fresh coffee, juice, tea and a homey atmosphere that made you say, "we are glad we made the trip" We were in the heart of the St. Helene wine country and only a stones throw from some of the most famous vinyards, and most delectable wines. We indulged ourselves! During the day we made side trips to some 10 wineries, never more than a few miles away. We easily made it back for the wine party held that night and the next night we were there. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we are coming back. If you get to St. Helene, be sure to stay a night or two (or more)at the Wine Country Inn. What a great place to stay, even if you don't go anywhere else.

They're doing everything right.
By Raul, 07/09/05
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at this beautiful inn. Our room was lovely. It had a window seat and was good size. The view from our balcony included vineyards, olive trees and flowers. The grounds were incredible. The staff was wonderful - friendly and helpful, especially with restaurants and wineries. The food was delicious. We enjoyed bringing our breakfast up to our balcony and taking our afternoon wine and appetizers to the pool. A plus is that you can enjoy the pool and hot tub under the stars up until 11pm. They seem to have thought of everything , including a step stool and fly swatter in the closet, in addition to an iron and full-length mirror. They really know how to run an inn here.
