Watch your Bill and Belongings

I got stuck here when my international flight was delayed and hoped everything would be covered by the airline and no hassle. Wrong!
The big disappointment was finding an unauthorized charge on my statement when they said nothing to me about any charges during checkout. When I called to get it resolved, I spend a long time on hold and getting the run around to different answering machines without reaching any real person other than the receptionist. Even though the place wasn’t too guest-friendly when I was there, I was surprised at how poor the phone service was.
The room itself was clean and nice, but ill-designed, the bathroom door opened into the sink so you had to move it to be able to wash your hands.
The website advertises internet in the rooms...but they charge for that...it is only free in the loud lobby.
Also, I put my bags in the luggage room before going to the airport and they neglected to bring out my laptop with the rest of my belongings. I didn't notice in my half-awake jet lag and had to rush back to the hotel from the airport before my flight to retrieve it.
Dinner in the bar/grill was great and the waitress was friendly and kind. Breakfast next door was another story. The wait staff was not organized and made it seem as if they were the ones doing you a favor to do their jobs. I left without finishing my food, partially because the way the staff related to each other and to me made me highly uncomfortable, and partially because the buffet was so sugary I felt sick.
