Stay here only if you don't want to sleep
This was the only hotel in the area with vacancies over Labour Day weekend. Normally I like Quality Inns; my issue wasn't with the hotel itself or with the staff (who were very helpful), but with the location.
This hotel is situated right by a railroad crossing, which wouldn't be so much of an issue except for the acoustics of the area, which amplifed every noise. And, these trains don't run during the day. Nope - they run in the middle of the night, about every twenty minutes. And their whistles are LOUD. I mean piercingly loud; it was like having one of those air horns sports fans are so fond of going off in the room. Plus, the hotel was located right next to what appeared to be an ordinary street but ended up being the thoroughfaire of choice for tanker trucks. Ones that liked to use their noisy "jake brakes" every chance they got. And drivers who preferred to drive - you guessed it - in the middle of the night.
Did I get any sleep? Nope. Not a wink.
