Loved the distance to DIsneyland, the breakfast - especially the waffles, and the friendly staff!

AWFUL!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/11
I booked a getaway for three nights and even purchased Disney Hopper passes from this hotel. I found out that not only did they charge me for my room, but, SOMEONE ELSES room! I had to confront them and was told by a man named JoJo that " it''s not his problem," and when I asked him how I was going to be able to travel home due to their error, his response was "figure it out." We had mold in our shower, for all 3 days, no housekeeper cleaned it out, the shower whistled LOUD from the time you stepped in til you were finished. Spots on our quilt, looked like someone blew their nose on the curtains, the entry door had a HUGE gap and you could literally see inside our room from the outside with the door closed. The sheets on our bed were not changed the entire time we were there. They kept saying Disneyland was "right across the street," it in fact is a distance away, about a half a mile. The staff was rude, all of them, with the exception of the gentleman that checked us in on Wednesday. The continential breakfast is a joke. I will never stay here again and will make sure everyone I know doesn't stay here. I would be EMBARRASSED if I owned this property.

Hidden treasure by the park
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/18/11
We stayed here in March for a last minute weekend getaway. Very close to the park, actually got to see fireworks from outside our room so that was great for the kids. A 10 minute walk to the park but with 3 little ones we took the car on our second day to the park as everyone was too tired to walk back the first day. Kids liked the breakfast, juice and waffles were nice. We will definately stay again.

Watch your card for false charges
By kimberlyshawn3, 2/16/11
We travel to Disneyland approximately every 4-6 weeks. We stayed here in December 2010 and did not have any problems. The rooms are simple and clean, basically what we expected for what we were paying. After our second stay (February 4-6, 2011) , I noticed an additional $20 charge to my credit card. I called them and was told it was a "housekeeping charge". The man (Joe), told me that all of their rooms are inventoried before and after guests check out, and that something was missing from the room. He was not able to tell me what it was that was missing though, and said that it was too late to inventory the room again. He also told me that he would reverse the charge. The charge has not been reversed yet. I plan on giving them another day to do so, then I will call my bank and dispute the charge. Prior to this housekeeping charge, I would have recommended this motel. It is one of the less expensive motels in the area, and walking distance to Disneyland. However, after basically being called a thief, I would rather stay elsewhere

Would stay again
By Trish, 5/14/10
I was a little concerned after reading the reviews. People do not realize that for the price this hotel is actually a decent deal. It is not a five star hotel and you are not paying for one so it is not reasonable to expect five star amenties. The location in proximity to Disneyland was great. It was up and around the corner off of Harbor Blvd, which I thought was nice to be away from the Harbor Blvd traffic. The noise from the I-5 did not bother me at all. I slept with the fan on, which drowned it out. The staff at check in were very courteous and helpful. The room was on the small side, but nicely decorated. It had some normal wear and tear, but that is to be expected, as this hotel appeared to stay pretty busy. The water pressure was just fine for the shower. The shower head was quite low, but I am short : ) so it worked fine for me. I had no trouble with the toilet flushing. I saw no bugs or roaches. This hotel was not noisy. I had a corner room on the second floor by the parking lot entrance. The room did not have an odor. It was cleaned daily and linens were replaced. The towels were a bit small, the pillows were on the small side, and the toilet paper and kleenex were not that great of quality, but again, this is not a five star hotel. It was much nicer than a typical Motel 6 or Econolodge. The "Resort Fee" should not come as a surprise to anybody. I booked through Cheap Tickets, and if you read through everything you will come across the statement that there is a nominal resort fee charged for staying here, which is not included in the booking price. It is made payable to the hotel itself and collected at check in. The clerk was very apologetic about it because apparently he had dealt with many guests who claimed they were not aware of this fee. It is my opinion that it is their own fault since they did not read through the booking agreement fully. It was $5.00 and some cents a day. Not too bad considering how close it was to Disneyland. Other hotels in the area that are close to the parks charge much more a night. Also, I read some reviews where people mentioned this hotel was not within walking distance to Disneyland. It took me less than ten minutes to get to the park entrance. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel. I received an excellent deal on the room and a rental car combined. The staff was gracious enough to allow me to park my car there while I went to the park after I had checked out. The parking is free. They provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, which is not typical of a hotel of this class. The complimentary breakfast was just fine. They allow you to eat as much as you like so who can possibly complain? It had more than danishes and juice. The choices included a few different cereals, apple juice, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, a variety of yogurts, oranges, apples, and bananas, white or wheat toast, english muffins, danishes, and you can make your own waffles. Basically, if you go expecting two start hotel amenities you will not be disappointed because you get a little more here. People need to realize that you get what you pay for. Don't expect the amenties to be similar to those of a hotel that costs $80.00 to $100.00 per night at a hotel that costs $50.00 to $70.00. I will definitely stay here again. The location was the best part. I really liked how close it was, but it wasn't on Harbor Blvd where it is noisy and busy. The breakfast was a plus. Can't see how people complain about something that is basically all you can eat and free. The parking is free, which is not common any longer, especially at hotels near the parks. The staff was very accommodating at check in. I will be back at some point in the future if I can get a good deal again.

Don't Stay Here!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/30/10
This hotel is dirty and filled with roaches! When I complained that I saw two roaches crawling on my headboard when I got back around 11:45pm after along day at Disneyland, they only gave me one night credit. I had been there for three nights already. Their rooms were full so they could not put us in another room. God knows if they crawled on my kid's faces when we slept. There are so many other nice hotels that we will pick from next time.

Would not stay here again
By DebC, 8/7/09
I showed up around 11pm on a Saturday night. There was only one employee checking in a long line of customers and answering (or not answering) the constantly ringing phone. It took over 1/2 hr. to get checked in. I did not see improved staffing my whole visit. When we finally get in our room, the shower curtain and TV were missing. They had all day to make sure this room was ready. We got a shower curtain, that was in terrible condition, but no TV until the next day. We were compensated a measly $20 for this. During our 3 nights there, not much about this hotel impressed us. We were already thinking about other nicer and closer places we could try the next time we decide to visit Disneyland. It is 1/2 mile walk and no shuttle stops there. That does not seem like a long walk until you have spent a whole day walking already. The thing that sealed my decision no to come back to this hotel was a phone call from my credit card company telling me that Quality Inn tried to charge an additional $288 on my card, but it was declined. When I called the hotel, they had no explanation for me. Thank goodness my card was at its limit. I would not trust this hotel again.

Two stars for this place is being too nice.
By The Kluj, 7/14/09
Very nice looking place from the outside, but inside is another story. I first want to say those that have reviewed in the past and state that this is right across from Disneyland are mistaking this hotel for another. This is on Manchester Avenue that runs parallel with the 5 freeway. The nearest Disney entrance is on Harbor Blvd. about half a mile away. Upon check in, I was told by the desk attendant that there was an additional $3.15/night "Resort Fee" that I was to pay. I told him that is not what was stated on my confirmation from priceline. I showed him that the room was prepaid for two nights and it stated that all fee's and taxes were included with my payment. He said "OK" and left it at that. A couple days after returning home I see a $6.30 charge on my debit card account. I called and they gave me a credit for that amount. She was very quick to do it so I am thinking they are just trying to scam people out of a few extra bucks. My account has not been credited yet, but it hasn't even been 24 hours. I will give it a few days and see. To begin with, the carpeting was filthy. I've been in the carpet business for over 20 years and I know carpeting. I complained to the front desk and they swore that the carpet is cleaned every 6 months. Our white socks turned black on the bottoms within 20 minutes after we entered the room. The shower temperature was difficult to control, a half a millimeter of movement turned it to either freezing cold or scolding hot, depending on the direction. Oh, and to prove how dirty the floor was, I saw my black footprints in the tub as I stepped into the water. The air conditioner was very loud and inadequate to say the least. It took over an hour for us to feel any difference in this room. And trust me, the room was very small so this air conditioner should have easily cooled the room off in no time. The toilet paper on the roller had only a slight bit left, I grabbed the spare roll that was on the shelf above the toilet and almost cut myself on an extremely used disposable rusted razor blade cartridge that was probably left there by the last guest. The paint on the bathroom door frame was chipping so bad that my kid was taking his foot and rubbing it off. Needless to say I was a bit concerned and cleaned it up. If you can't find a place of this price range some place else, then pay more. This place does not have Quality and the rooms are not Suites. I will NOT being staying at this place again and I will make sure none of my friends stay as well. I'm giving this rating one star because that is the minimum allowed or it won't post the review. It should be zero stars. Three words to discribe this place... DIS - GUST - ING!

Night Managment Lies
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/13/09
Well let me start by saying the actual hotel it's self was charming, and the man I talked to when I first arrived very nice but the night woman is a liar. I booked a room with two regular beds on a non- smoking floor. When I arrived at 10 am it was still way to early for check in so the man at the front desk checked our bags and went over the arrangements we had made to confirm since this trip was a gift from our grandparents the card holder was not present on this trip and they said no problem because they had talked to them earlier that same morning. He assured us everything was all set and to go ahead and enjoy Disneyland and when we got back that night we could pick up our room keys and head off to bed. When we returned sometime after midnight we went to the front desk to pick up our bags and room key and the middle aged Asian woman at the front desk asked for the credit card.We showed her the print out and told her that when we booked the room an agreement that the card holder would not be present was all ready worked out. She then stated rudely that ALL hotels ALWAYS have to have a credit card I said no they don't because I have done this several times in the past and she proceeded to hand us our bags and began helping the man who was in line behind us . I was mad. So I took a seat in the lobby and started to call the card holder but before it could even get to the second ring she miraculously changed her mind. She then wanted a $50.00 deposit I said no . So I ended up giving her $20.00 cash and went to our room. When I got there I tried to open the door and couldn't get it open all the way because our ROLL-A-WAY bed was in the way. This room was so tiny not that it was an issue all I wanted was a non-smoking room with two real beds. When I went back up to ask what was up with that she told us it was all they had left and I should have checked in earlier! I would like to state that this would have been cool with me if she mentioned it before sending us on our way I understand the hotel was busy but that was deceitful and completely unprofessional . So not wanting to sleep in the car I went back to our shoe box of a room and tried to unfold the bed but could not because the tiny table and chairs were in the way. So I ended up having to move them to the bathroom area and unfolded it between the nightstand on the right and the front door. I know that is a major fire code violation . Not to mention to use the restroom we had to climb over furniture just to get there. Other mildly irritating things about this room include a hole in the bathroom door, glaze peeling off the tub, rust around the sink, the rank smell of smoke, food left in the mini fridge, poor tv reception, alarm clock did not work and of course the woman who pretty much called me a liar and insinuated that this was all my fault. The things I did enjoy were the free breakfast was very good, the one bed we did have was very comfy the hotels New Orleans theme was great and the short walk to Disneyland was perfect. When my grandmother called after we got home the same rude woman whom I dealt with took her call and tried to say that we booked a one queen bed in a SMOKING room. I can not believe she had the nerve to lie like that knowing I have a copy of the confirmation e-mail. I do not appreciate people lying to my Grandmother like that. This trip was a gift for my college graduation that we spent a lot of time and money planing . There business practices are completely unacceptable and I sincerely hope they get a grip on it before this happens to some other person on there vacation whom by the I'm sure worked very hard for there money to take there family on vacation only to get treated like scum.
