Will never go back !!!
By julee, 5/16/11
Hotel too large & people boisterous by pool drinking . . .no class . . . . Had king size bed and the person who made the bed put the top sheet on wrong so that the corners didn't fit and sheet kept coming off exposing the mattress. Didn't appreciate that !!! It also had some type of cheap feather bed pad under sheet that had the cheap chicken feathers poking through . . .you would think that they would have enough money to put something decent on the bed . . . and teach these "maids" how to make a bed properly . . .also saw a small brown "crawly" on the bedding . . .. . .just stayed one night and had to leave.

Buds and Suds Golf Tournament at the Marriott?
By Janet, 5/15/11
Well. I am in shock that Marriott would allow these beer guzzling low class men, that bring in hookers and drunk golf wannabees on the resort this year for the 16th annual Buds and Suds Golf Tournament. Everyone knows that this group gathers for one purpose only, get laid by a stranger and get drunk by the pool and hopefully not give a disease to their trusting wives at home waiting for them. Is the hotel happy? What can they do? We are in a recession. But to let this god awful group in the doors of this nice resort is a prelude to where the Marriott is heading. I feel so sorry for the wives of these men who most likey trust their whereabouts. Keep hiding your filth guys behind those golf clubs! We all know the reason why your here!

Find someone in charge? Good luck!
By NeoCon, 4/27/11
The front desk staff was terrible. The woman I worked with barely spoke English. As I was in line to check in, two women barged in front of me then insulted me when I protested. There was no apology from the deskclerk for this clear insult. Ropes to guide guests in line? Nope. When I asked for a manager, the barely-English speaking check-in clerk was the manager on duty! Oh brother, that was helpful. I complained and got a $50 hotel credit eventually, which poolside was good for about one sandwich and drink. The staff I ran into in the hallways were polite - the only polite staff I met. My room was just ok. The inside of the atrium reminded me of being in high school in the 1970s - beige and florescent-lit. The pool was ok but chairs were crowded and hard to find. I have since switched to La Quinta resort where they know how to treat guests. If Marriott staff is reading this, this stay was one reason I let my Marriott Rewards Visa lapse.

Great Spa/Resort - Poor Hotel Customer Service
By JayTheCritic, 3/2/11
The Best Spa Facility I've found in California. The grounds and resort is top notch, but the hotel staff needs serious customer service training. The rooms are just OK for a resort of it's caliber. I've stayed here over twenty times and we are just feed up with the hotel and now only come for the spa & golf, which is wonderful. Great large private co-ed spa pool, co-ed relaxation areas and the men's & woman's spa area's are fantastic. Excellent spa amenities, come early and stay the whole day. For our weekend California Desert retreats, we now stay at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort & Spa, which does an amazing job of taking care of us.

Absolutely wonderful!
By Barbara, 3/20/10
The gorgeous weather and landscape is a given. The facilities were beautifully appointed, detail-oriented, sparklingly clean. The facilities staff members were warm, friendly, and clearly took pride in their work. They were appreciative of their good fortune to work in such a lovely place. It's a place for clean healthy living and vacationing, definitely not for those seeking a Las Vegas-type experience. There was a diversity in the guests and the staff, unified by feeling good about where we all were. Looking forward to another visit! (ps: I suggest that the bigots who've written negative posts about certain cultural groups find someplace else to stay and not taint this lovely space with their negativity)

Excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/08
This hotel was amazing! The service was also great. You might call for room service and they will come amazingly quick. The beds were nice with some kind of foam on the top. I didn't dislike anything!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/08
Great location, spectacular views, everything you could want in one place: shopping, night club, spa, fitness center, pools, kid's club, restaurants, etc. Service is exceptional from hotel, restaurant, and retail staff. A fabulaous resort experience!

This 1980's star is showing it's wrinkles..
By Rory, 2/20/08
My wife and I stayed over the President's day weekend, and eventhough this is not a big holiday weekend, we still paid dearly. $469 per night that included one spa treatment each. Nightclub patrons were rowdy and fighting outside our window at 1:30AM. Our room was OK, but smelled like smoke(we requested a non-smoking room). What really got us was the shabby, dirty environs the farther you got away from the lobby. Very dirty windows and elevators. Dirty carpeting. The few elevators the hotel has did not work and we were constantly cramming into an elevator with people. No free Wifi, eventhough there was supposed to be in the lobby. The Spa was average and not very clean, jacuzzi was so chlorinated it burned my eyes. I was almost hit by an errant golf ball while lounging at the Spa pool. Massage was good though.

Over the top - but fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/08
We loved this place, especially the boats to the restaurants and the black swans in the water.... The waterfalls etc, were a bit much - but so fun (is IS Palm Springs after all) The restaurants were all first class. It was not crowded, at least when we were there, and the staff were, although young, very accomodating. Would go back in a flash.

Loved it!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/08
It was beautiful and I enjoyed the pools and the restaurants. It was great to be able to sit at the pool and order a frozen drink and lunch and they bring it to you! I also loved the full body massage.
