Excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/08
This hotel was amazing! The service was also great. You might call for room service and they will come amazingly quick. The beds were nice with some kind of foam on the top. I didn't dislike anything!

Has everything!

Great location, spectacular views, everything you could want in one place: shopping, night club, spa, fitness center, pools, kid's club, restaurants, etc. Service is exceptional from hotel, restaurant, and retail staff. A fabulaous resort experience!

This 1980's star is showing it's wrinkles..
By Rory, 02/20/08
My wife and I stayed over the President's day weekend, and eventhough this is not a big holiday weekend, we still paid dearly. $469 per night that included one spa treatment each. Nightclub patrons were rowdy and fighting outside our window at 1:30AM. Our room was OK, but smelled like smoke(we requested a non-smoking room). What really got us was the shabby, dirty environs the farther you got away from the lobby. Very dirty windows and elevators. Dirty carpeting. The few elevators the hotel has did not work and we were constantly cramming into an elevator with people. No free Wifi, eventhough there was supposed to be in the lobby. The Spa was average and not very clean, jacuzzi was so chlorinated it burned my eyes. I was almost hit by an errant golf ball while lounging at the Spa pool. Massage was good though.

Over the top - but fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/08
We loved this place, especially the boats to the restaurants and the black swans in the water.... The waterfalls etc, were a bit much - but so fun (is IS Palm Springs after all) The restaurants were all first class. It was not crowded, at least when we were there, and the staff were, although young, very accomodating. Would go back in a flash.

Loved it!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/08
It was beautiful and I enjoyed the pools and the restaurants. It was great to be able to sit at the pool and order a frozen drink and lunch and they bring it to you! I also loved the full body massage.

Loved it!

JW Desert Springs Marriott Resort is a wonderful place to go and relax. The views are breath taking. I enjoyed laying out by the pool and watching all of the beautiful people. The staff is very attentive to your every need. We ate at several resturants. It was really good and fun. The Nightlife was great. Overall this is the place to be if you want to have a good time without driving all over the place. Everything is at your fingertips..

Nice place, but lock up your valuables
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/07
I stayed here for a meeting in Jan 2007 and the place was a bit under construction, but it was gorgeous. The location is not that great if you're relying on Palm Spring's pricey car/cab services, but all the drivers do speak English!!! I would have been happy with the place, but my $500 prescription (designer) sunglasses were stolen from my room! Housekeeping Dept, front desk and the concierge did not care. You'd think you could trust the housekeepers working in such a high end establishment, but you can't. Definitely lock up everything, even sunglasses - that's pretty sad!

pretty, but pricy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/07
I liked the location of the resort and the landscape was beautiful and very spacious. Peace and quiet when you want it, but frivolity and noise when you want it to be. But activities are exclusive and definitely not inlcuded. Be prepared to pay for anything that you want to do here. If you can afford all the little luxuries, an excellent place to stay.

Breathtaking!!!
What a great place. The lobby(called the Atrium) is immense. Filled with water falls, exotic birds, and a gondola that will take you to a number of elegant restaurants. I almost felt like I was in Cancun or somewhere similar. We had a suite with a living room and a bedroom. The balcony must have been 20 feet long with views of the mountains, golf courses, and the pools. They have seperate pools. One for the adults and one for the kids. If you want to get out for the night, nearby is The River where they have movie theaters, restaurants, shops. I would definately stay a this Marriott again.
