The room smelled like something toxic. Teenagers hanging out in the stairwells passing "cigarettes" and pipes between each other and the smell of that creaping into the room. Mold in the heat pump that someone tried tocover the smell of with some perfumed powder like the stuff some people sprinkle on the carpet to cover bad smell. Non responsive to request to change room. Stated that 1pm was too late to complain because checkout time was 11am so either leave and lose money or stay and become sick from toxic odors. I left and lost money. Complaints to the management yielded an offer to return for a comp night. IT ISN'T COMP WHEN YOU ALREADY PAID FOR IT and who wants to try to get sick a second time? I woke with a headache like someone fed me poison. All manner of creepy people walking the halls all night long. Felt like I was in skid row Los Angeles. To be fair, I think it is the general Camarillo situation and likely any motel in Camarillo is filled with criminal activities but the failure to honor a request for a room change to protect my health at 1pm in the afternoon with a parking lot that was only about 5 percent filled is just unacceptable. If you want to get treated like a villian for asking for acceptable accomodations, pass on this one and drive up to Santa Barbara or over into Thousand Oaks where the crime scene is a little better and the hospitality is acceptable. The folks in Carpenteria (South Santa Barbara) are great. Camarillo feels like a haven for crime. Police are everywhere but that only tells me that they are needed and seem to be fighting a losing battle. Thumbs Down on Days Inn Camarillo. Bad location, bad management, bad policies that are likely the result of dealing with substandard clientelle. Unfortunately, my experience in life is that if a business begins to treat all customers/guests in the manner they adapt for the worst type of people, eventually only the worst type of people will be found there. So if you are a criminal hiding out from the law or looking for a base of operation, give this 1 star motel a shot. You might find a new home.

This place smelled like mold. I spotted molding in the bathroom where there are no carpets to cover it up. The toilet doesn't work and on top of that, I experienced the worst customer service there. NEVER again. Too much to list.

This is the WORST Days Inn I ever stayed in. If you think you're saving money, save yourself from vomitting. See for yourself, if you dare. NEVER will I make the same mistake again. The manager refused to give me one extra pillow and a towel. Enough said. That's my 2 cents.

This place was disgusting. It was filthy, and looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. Is it too much to as for clean sheets and towels and not the used ones from the previous people who stayed here? Try a vacuum and some lysol every once in awhile. At least some Fabreeze to get rid of the awful smell

This is by far the worst days inn My wife and I ever stayed in. We checked in 45 minutes early. It took a very unpleasant clerk about 20 minutes to check us in. We went to the room and there were no towels, albeit the room appeared clean. I called the front desk and the manager answered and started yelling at me that I should not have checked in early Check in time was 3 pm but during check in no one mentioned this was a problem. After I had a few words with him. We left the motel for about 4 hours when we got back we still did not have any towels. I then happened to see a hotel employee outside the room and told him we needed towels. We were brought the towels but they were so thin that it barely dried you. The sheets on the bed were for a double bed and we were in a king bed so that was a big problem. In addtion, the pillows smelled of other peoples sweat, even though their was two pillow cases on each pillow. Also, the blankets smelled of sweat. We will never stay in this hotel again and recommend you avaoid it also. I only rated this hotel 1 star because I could not give it a minus.

While our stay was satisfactory in most ways, I discovered after leaving that I had left a pair of very nice sandals that had some particular value to me. I called and asked to pay to have them sent to me. They put me off for 4 months, always with some excuse (they admitted they had them). Finally they said they had lost them because the desk clerk went on vacation for a month. Clearly they never intended to send them. I conclude that they don't really care about people once they have your money.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay for a night or two while traveling, this place would work fine. But I stayed there for over two weeks and it wasn't the best experience. It is a typical motel with older but spacious rooms. I stayed on the side backed up to an alley and shopping center. Noise was an issue, especially the garbage trucks going down the alley early in the morning. The maid service was actually very good, but the front desk staff was not very helpful. The high speed internet went down about five days in and the front desk kept saying it would be fixed the next day, when I left 13 days later it was still down. The breakfast was laughable, two cereal choices and some old bagels and apples. For a long term stay, the room is too dreary and there is too much noise. For a short stop over when looking for an economical hotel, it wouldn't be too bad.

The bathroom was in much need of cleaning and repair. There was mold growing from multiple areas around the bathtub, sink, and window. I appeared as though someone had attempted to cover the mold with paint. The toilet wouldn't flush, and the A/C unit was making a loud rattling noise. I complained to management. Their attitude was poor. Also, the room was prepaid by my employer, but the manager attemped to charge my VISA, as well. I documented the room condition with a video to show my employer. Never Again!

Great location, well-appointed rooms, hotel staff was helpful and prompt, overall a great value for the money!
