Great Stay and Convention
By SarahM, 09/16/08
The location was extremely convenient because we were in Long Beach for a convention at the attached Convention Center. Even the view from the non-ocean side rooms was pleasant! The staff was friendly, and we would definitely stay here again. The 2 bedded room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel met our expectations for the price which we paid and the star level (4 Stars.) It is also very near to some of our favorite restaurants in Long Beach as well as the water. Overall, this was a great stay!

Location's the only good thing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/08
PROS: The staff were nice & cordial. The hotel looked clean. The harbor view was amazing. CONS: We requested for a non-smoking room, but as soon as we walked into the tiny room, we could smell the stench of cigarettes right away. The bathroom is nothing special, very dreary looking in fact. The room was so tiny, you could hardly move around without bumping into something. They advertise free internet, but that's only if you have T-mobile. Otherwise, you pay. The room was hot, so we cranked the AC to 60F. An hour later, it was still warm. It felt like the hi-fan was only working. VERDICT: The hotel is way too overpriced for what it offers. Will not be going there again.

Not a good experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/08
The room was a disappointment. King size bed without fitted sheets so you wake up to the bare mattress which is a hygiene issue! Why don't they spend the extra money and buy sheets that fit the bed? The AC is sub standard. Room was shabby. Walls thin. We travel a lot and we won't include Hyatt in our plans anymore. Convention was here and that is why we stayed here. Never again.

Checked out at 1:00 AM
By Glenn N, 06/03/07
The room was tiny, which was OK. The toilet leaked - the bathroom was flooded when I got in, I thought it was the remnants from the maid - then it was flooded again 3 hours later. I called, they sent someone up, he said he fixed it. When I came back to the room from dinner, took off my shoes, then splish splashed into the bathroom - flooded again. Now all my socks were soaked, the cuffs of my pants were wet with toilet water, I had no clothes for my planned aquarium visit the next morning. They offered me a different room, but since my morning plans were blown, it was 1:00 AM, and I needed a shower, I decided my weekend was blown and checked out and drove home. YUCK!

I stayed and enjoyed the whole experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/07
I had stayed over weekend and found that I had the best sleep in a long time, they do offer room service which it was a nice overall experience. Not to busy and noisey, the view was spectacular overlooking the Queen Mary and shoreline village. The resturant was delicious as well. Casual dinning

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/07
This hotel is close to everything: shopping, dining, convention center, touristy stuff. Our view (convention booking) was of the back of the convention center, the Whalesseum (or whatever that sports venue is), and mostly an attractive lagoon. Not bad for the worst view! Unfortunately, the convention is not returning to this site. I would have enjoyed returning to have taken in more of Long Beach. My only complaint is on the hotel layout. If your room number is a low one, you have a very long walk to the elevator. The restaurant, Tides, was slightly above typical hotel fare (normally: ridiculously expensive and bad). It was ridiculously expensive and rather okay. But why eat there? The Long Beach area is littered with excellent restaurants of all cuisines that are reasonably priced.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/06
The two bed room was great and i loved the open view. The food was great and so was the helpful staff. The pool, and the cable, and the beach, aaannnd the shuttle made this experience better than ever. i would recomend this for a family looking for a hotel between burbank and sandiego. it was perfect!!!!

Excellent room!
By Winnie, 01/06/06
When we checked in, our room was upgraded free of charge to one with an ocean view. The rooms appear to be virtually sound-proof, which I appreciated. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, at the center of all the fun that Long Beach has to offer.

Pleasant stay the staff was vary nice.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/05
My room had a good view of the Bay. The restraint downstairs was a bit expensive. But that’s ok there are some good restaurants across the street. All in all it was a pleasant stay the staff was vary nice and attentive. I would stay there again.
