Fairmont San Francisco, San Francisco

The hotel staff were very professional and treated us like royalty. They upgraded our room, the view was wonderful of the bay, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The only problem was in the morning, the windows had fogged up and we could no longer see our beautiful view. My husband said that someone in the hotel told him that there was a problem with the ventilation system in the building. We stayed in the tower. So, next time we will ask to stay in another part of the building, unless they fix the problem. The food was fabulous. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Good choice. The Tonga room is expensive with small portions, but fun. The Laurel Court has anything you want, practically. Good food. The breakfast was wonderful. My husband loved the buffet breakfast and I loved my Meyer Lemon ricotta cheese pancakes with maple syrup and sausages. The coffee was great, also. Wonderful atmosphere. We really enjoyed it. It was a little expensive, but worth it. They were offering a King Tut package which included 20% off of parking if you were driving a hybrid car, which we have. Also, with the price of the room, included was 2 drinks from the bar, and 2 VIP tickets to see the King Tut exhibit at the De Young museum.. with no waiting in lines to get in. We really enjoyed our stay in SF. We love the city and will go back many times to visit. The cable cars stop right in front of the hotel and will take you to China Town or Fisherman's wharf, and DT. It's all so romantic and fun. People are pretty happy that live there, how could you not be in such a beautiful city.

I liked the fact that this place was big. With it's big rooms, tall ceilings, and huge lobby, it was great for someone who needs a lot of room to work. However, the rooms were a bit plain to me. In our room the door was right beside the bed. Great place to stay if only for part of your trip.

We liked the view and the convenient location. We enjoyed the friendly staff.

If you have a little bit of money and like to stay close to downtown, you cant go wrong with "The Fairmont".

I've stayed at the Fairmont a few times in my life for various business trips, and it has never failed to impress me. One thing I always notice is the great service. All of the employees are always willing to help me in any way possible. It is for that reason I like to come back to the Fairmont whenever I have a trip to the city. The rooms are all very comfortable and luxurious. And I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like they have the most comfortable beds in the city! No joke! Next time I'm in there, I'm going to ask them who makes their beds! I recommend this hotel.

MY WIFE AND I STAYED AT THE FAIRMONT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AUGUST OF 2007 AND WERE TRULY SURPRISED HAVINGSTAYED ELSWHERE IN THE CITY.wONDERFUL VIEWS EASY ACCESS TO CABLE CARS AND A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL RESTAURANT AND SERVICE WERE WONDERFUL. WILL STAY AGAIN WHENE IN THE CITY FROM NORTH CAROLINE. YHE CITY WAS NICE IN AUGUST, 70'S, COMPARED TO 90'S IN NC.

A fabulous place for a special occasion. Cocktails in the Tonga Room for my birthday were fabulous. Wonderful staff made this a place that I just have to go back to.

This place is magical!! I dreamed of going there since I was in high school and it was absolutely wonderful. I really enjoy exquisitey appointed surroundings and the Fairmont met and exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful accomodations with clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is centrally located. The food at their restaurant is great and they also have a lovely bar inside the hotel.

I have had two friends spend their wedding nights at the Fairmont and one friend got engaged there last weekend. They all RAVED about the views and decor of the suites.
