Beautiful hotel, atrocious customer service.

I have a gift certificate for this hotel that I purchased a couple of years ago for the Lovers Indulgence Package. Unfortunately with me being in the military I'm not home very often and have not had much opportunity to use it. Having an extra couple of days at home this holiday season I called the hotel to book the room. I was told that they no longer accepted this gift certificate. When I pointed out that this was in clear violation of California Civil Code Sections 1749.45-1749.6 the response I received was that if I wished to take it further I could but they were unwilling to do anything for me. I am bitterly disappointed with this level of service from a hotel that states on their website:
"As the old adage goes, perception is everything, this is not true for us. Perceived value is only valid at arrival, real value is realized at departure. However, exceptional value is unforgettable, it is everything, it is the summation of the whole experience and it is derived from a sustained commitment to the price, service & quality relationship."
This hotel not only operates using illegal business practices but has absolutely no consideration for customer satisfaction and clearly does not support the men and women of this country who fight to keep it free. Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, atrocious customer service.
