Cambridge Inn Palm Springs, Palm Springs

We had nothing but trouble with the staff and the reservations. We were charged 3 times the whole stay amount on our credit card four days before we even were scheduled to arrive there. Then after the stary they stuck us with another $159. What a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got there at check-in 11am and the room was not ready, we waited 40mins! The shower had hair, the toilet had dried crap, there was a cricket hanging out by the closet, the heater when turned on made the room smell like there was a fire. There are no rules meaning the guest were a bunch of party dudes that partied all night!!! Did not get any sleep!! Worst stay ever. Wouldn’t stay there even if they paid me.

made reservations, when we got there they were over booked. Tried to send us across the street to a dump. Hotel was the worse ever. We will never go back.

I like costumer service.Maniger DAVID WAS VERY HELPFUL IN MANY WAYS. I THINK THE POOL AND SPA WERE REALLY BIG AND AT THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND SOFT. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THE HOTEL WAS VERY BIG. I LIKED THAT THE PARKING WAS EMPTY AND THERE WAS ALOT OF SPACE TO PARK.

The best part of this stay was once you checked in they didn't care what you did. With the non working or non exsistant appliances no frig, no microwave we did however at least have a kitchen that had no appliances or dishware, the hairdryer did not work the shower floor peeled as you showered. No wonder there are no rules,

We reserved a room for five nights. Without telling us, they charged our card $500 AT THE TIME THE RESERVATION WAS MADE, unlike other places who charge either when you arrive or leave. We cancelled, but it has been a week, and the charges have still not been reversed. Buyers beware of this establishment.

Our stay was really relaxing and fun. The front desk manager made sure that everything we needed was tended to and he was able to offer a lot of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The weather wasn't the best but overall we had a great stay. The rooms do need to be updated a little but for the money I would highly recommend it. They have gone through new management and the new guy really knows his stuff. We're from Canada and come to the hotel every year and this year was by far the best experience we've had.

The Cambridge Inn is Terrible. The phone does not work, the TV remote does not work, it is old and in need of repair, the light over the basin was inadequate, and they refused to refund the rental for the day we checked out by 4:30 pm when we were forced to check out because you can not run your business with a phone which does not work.

I dislike my stay because we had to change room more than once before we could even got settled. The toilet did not work in the first room. The second room smelled like someone had been smoking in there to say it was a non-smoking room. The thrid room the refrig did not work. The pool and spa were both dirty. Going up the back steps there was a chipped step which they just put caution tape around. They show you these pictures of a nice clean spa and you get there and its something else. In a place like palm springs you need to be able to take a swim. They put a sign on the window about how they are remodeling that does not help people who reserve their room online. All we see is a nice place. We could not get in our room the next day the card would not work it took two trips up and down the stairs before the keys worked.

The staff was friendly but not accomodating. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the exterior. Once we checked in we immediately turned on the A/C and all it did was blow hot, muggy air (this was the 2nd room we were put in with poor A/C). After dripping with sweat and getting ready with nothing on but our thongs we decided we needed to buy a BIG fan - which we did. The room finally got cooler on our 2nd day there. Their "continental breakfast" was an absolute joke and consisted of orange juice, coffee and some day-old danish pastries. Next time I think we will splurge an extra $20.00 a night because like that old saying goes - "You get what you pay for...."
