So Noisy We Couldn't Sleep!!!

The hotel is on PCH, a very noisy road, and next to a fire station! The walls were so thin you could hear normal conversations in the next room. In our case, if you stay on a Friday or Saturday night, you'll hear loud partying and televisions. The walls must be made of cardboard.
Our first night, we were at a room in the front and we awoke to loud sirens right outside our window at least 6 times, and to drunk people on the street or balconies several times as well. We were so tired the next day, and complained to the desk clerk. I said, is there a fire station next door? She said, yes, as if that was not a big deal! They gave us a room at the back, were we were still awakened by the fire trucks, and neighbors were very loud. We had to bang on the walls to get the t.v. turned down (at 3:30 a.m.!) and call the desk to get the neighbors to quiet down. Ironically, we could hear their phone ring, them answer, and discuss the whole issue with the desk clerk, that's how thin the walls are. When we told the clerk the next day, she said it was an old hotel that probably should have been torn down and rebuilt. Also, the spa in our second room was very difficult to access. We are agile and yet had to be very careful, as it was a treacherous climb into the bath/shower, over a tall edge lined with a sharp metal guard. No one with any physical limitations could do it safely.
