ok...if you like camping
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/10
or trailer parks. i came for a weekend wedding and tried to save a few dollars. the rest of my party stayed next door at the best western, wow!! the extra $150.00 spent would have been a 150% improvement and well worth it. this place is noisy and full of loud people who seem to be out in public for the first time. the air conditioner is noisy and all of them are on all of the time. the walls are paper thin. the staff is friendly, with the exception of the man at the desk who was really cold. on the positive side, the room is clean, has coffee and tea, microwave (really? that way you can smell everyone else's food cooking all night long.) fridge, iron and ironing board, hair dryer. the cvs pharmacy is really close where you can go to aisle 14 and on the bottom shelf on the right you can find a large selection of ear plugs, which you will need. if i had read all of the reviews i don't think that i would have stayed here. it's "beachy" and close to pch and the train station, so it's great if that's what you want. but, at my age, here for an elegant wedding... i should have known better. i was actually willing to leave, lose the $, go next door and pay more for our second night, but they were full. seriously, i was willing to pay to leave.

just don't go unless ...
like : I was able to sleep if I used the roll away and pulled it right up to the tiny air conditioner that hardly works ... don't go on a hot day dislike: I usually don't complain , I'll even stay at a motel 6 to be here but for 120 bucks the air should work , there should be room for everyone , the pool is smaller than my brother's little kiddy pool , the lady at the desk could not have been more unfriendly ; every time we went to get food , we would have to park out in front instead of by our room , stairs , stairs , stairs , and I guess if you like to walk by a constant traffic jam , the walk to the beach was not so far .. but we went to torry pines any way, the breakfast is just sugar and white bread , no tea , and most of the time all the rooms were filled with immigrants chain smoking 24 hours a day. I could not get a refund , I am not a happy camper this year and will never use this chain again .... ever . NOT for 120 bucks , i don't care what the location is , you don't treat people like that

Plans to return!
By sunshine, 6/29/09
This is a GREAT bang for your buck. At the price we paid (70 bucks a night) we we're not expecting much. We we're suprised at how clean and fresh the hotel was. AMAZING location, 5-10 mins (walking) to the beach and great restaurants. We visted 2 summers ago, are planning to go again this summer, and going to suggest our wedding guests stay there next summer. If you're looking for an affordable weekend get-away and don't need room service, this is the place!!

Clean, comfortable and convenient
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/08
Near freeway exit; pleasant staff; continental breakfast; guest laundry & snack vending machines; cable TV; swimming pool; a Denny's right next door & 3 or 4 other eateries in the small shopping plaza which is a short walk across the road. If available, I recommend a room at the back of the building, on the top floor and near the elevator to avoid stairs and/or a long walk around the perimeter balcony & potential noise from overhead guests and the passing automotive traffic and to enjoy a better view (the wooded hillside) from your room's window.

This was the most awful expericence I have ever encountered.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/05
I had stayed for a family trip at this Inn and had the most horrifying experience. I had disgusting blankets and asked for a change in blankets for that evening. I did get a customer service rep stating that this would be taken care of. We had discovered when we had returned that evening there was no change in blankets (disgusting stains) they were still soiled. On that affect I had called the front desk and received a lady that had a horrible attitude and hung up on me. I further had gon up to the desk and asked to speak to management immediatley. No response for that matter and outlandish behavior from the lady behind the counter. For my family staying at this place with ill mannered employees, disgusting and unkempt property I had to leave the premises that night. I do not refer any one to stay at this god forbidden location. They give an awful name to the hotel and travel industry.

Nice enough
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/7/05
The rooms were clean and well lit, and just big enough. The staff was nice. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. The breakfast was meager, but fresh. The rain poured off the roof onto the stairwell and parking area, but if its not raining, you'll be fine. The area was nothing spectacular -- not many restaurants or shopping right around the hotel -- but the beach was nearby and freeway access is easy. All in all, our stay was just fine.

Clean rooms, but watch out for noise and hidden charges
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/04
We reserved the room using Yahoo travel over the internet. It is located very close to interstate 5, so make sure to ask for a room that does *not* face the freeway. The location is convenient otherwise. 10 minute walk to the beach or to restaurants which are mostly on highway 101. Continental breakfast is included, but don't expect much, it's just coffee, cold muffins and pastries. They added $1/day "safe warranty" even though we did not use the in-room safe. We were not told about that additional charge during check-in either. I tried to dispute it but they said something like "that's because you booked the room over the internet". I didn't want to make big fuss for $2, but this kind of unfair behavior sticks in my memory, so I would not stay there again and therefore I cannot recommend the hotel either.
