Honk Honk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
The decorations are very hip and the breakfast is very good. However, the comfort level of the hotel is almost zilch. I stayed for 4 nights in a room that was literally about 30 feet from a freeway with an on-ramp. There are no double pain windows. I woke up in the morning tasting dust and gasoline. The shades on the windows are kept closed at all times. The walls are very thin and the noise from the other rooms was awful. The linens were stained and the lighting was so dim I couldn't even read. The bed was hard as a rock. The TV was an old Zenith with about 10 channels and a lot of buzzing and snow. The phone was missing all kinds of buttons. I sort of feel like I've had a stroke, I'm so stressed out. Why does the health department allow these places? The rooms in back might be better but I think those are all occupied by the owner's family. I booked through Hotwire which might explain the beating.

Very Few Decent Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
Really fun decorations. Good breakfast. But... Noise is a big issue. This place is right on a freeway and theren't even double pained windows. You literally have to breathe the fumes. The walls between rooms are very thin. Air conditioner stank, old Zenith TV has about 9 channels, CNN & CNBC had a static sound so couldn't watch. The telephone was missing buttons. The linens are stained and the beds are old and hard. The owners are obviously very mean and have no conscience. Nobody should have to be treated the way they treat people. (The positive reviews on this site are probably fake.)

Great stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/08
This hotel has obviously been renovated and looks great. Huge rooms, very cute decor. Their breakfast is much better than other places I have stayed - I had a fresh omelet made (did I mention it was free?)!

Save your money and go elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
High cost for a low cost motel experience - This is not a hotel Noise - the walls are too thin - hear TVs from multile rooms; people walking above; etc. BTW - its right on the highway - good for convenience for some will prefer to be less exposed Cable didn't really work - only a few stations Hard bed If call - put you on hold to static Nice try with the decorations but there are more structural things to upgrade Will be providing AAA with feedback

A good Choice
By Davev, 07/30/07
I chose this hotel on price and location. While it has limited facalities it is conveniently located and even though it was near busy 85 my sleep was not interrupted. The rooms were re-done in 2006 and were very comfortable. The free breakfast was excellent and the in room coffee maker was a nice feature. I would recommend this to others.

Diamond in the rough
By Gregory, 12/08/06
I tried booking a room in some of the 'nicer' hotels in the area, but they were all booked, so I stayed here out of desperation. What a pleasant surprise. The room (#102) had been recently renovated, and it was great! The bathroom, although it was small, was tastefully done in a post modern style. The room was clean and comfortable. A nice leather chair at a good sized desk provided plenty of workspace in a comfortable setting. The attention to detail was noticed and appreciated. I cannot speak for all of the rooms, but if my room is any indication, I would not hesitate to stay here again. And you can't beat the value. I actually called the front desk just to make sure I had the right rate. In my opinion, this is a four star hotel at a two star price. If you don't need a full size kitchen and a fluffy bathrobe, you might want to give this humble establishment a try.

Good area but...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/06
In a good area with many stores and restaurants. The service is pretty bad, however. Some of the maids do not speak English and their cleaning and general houskeeping skills (replacing toiletries, etc.) are horrible. There is a fitness room with only jogger/cycle type machines though. The free breakfast falls into the "you get what you pay for" category. The manager/owner is slightly rude and seems a bit prejudice as well. The in-house internet service is quite unreliable. NG
