Great view
By SherieH, 08/19/06
It could use a little remodel in the rooms, better beds and bedspreads. Nice to have continental breakfast available. Great view of Morro Rock and walking distance to the Embarcadero. Service was great.

Nice and Convenient
By Karen, 07/02/06
This was a very nice, clean hotel. It was also convenient for accessing all of the shops and waterfront area in Morro Bay. It's within walking distance of just about anything you would want to see or do in Morro Bay. Wonderful stay.

Poor Management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/05
We rented 2 rooms for the weekend for myself and daughter. Rooms were clean. When we tried to take a shower there was no hot water. I called the front office and they said that it was being worked on. I used the other room we had rented and there was occasional hot water. There were six of us in two rooms that had to share one shower. The next day ask the manager if there were any other rooms to which they said they did not have any other rooms. I ask for a refund for the remainig night and was told I would have to pay for both room as they were reserved. We ended up sharing one shower for the weekend. I ask for an adjustment to which they declined. I ask for the owner to call me and it never occured. I am very unhappy with the way a problem was handled.

Do Not Give Them Your Credit Card Info!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/05
Made a reservation with them and had a problem with the car. Called them at noon to say we wouldn't make it. They told me that if they did not rent the room we reserved that we would be charged. This was not explained when I made the reservation directly through them. Apparently in 12 hours they did not rent one single room, because they charged my credit card. I called and asked them to remove the charge; the extremely rude "manager" told me that she would do no such thing. After filing a complaint with the better business bureau and calls to the district attorneys office the matter was eventually resolved.

Concierges disguised as desk clerks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/05
Not only did they recommend restaurants, shops, excursions, etc., etc.--the open and friendly desk staff also offered to and then did make dinner reservations for us, and later called the room to confirm the reservations! Then there was the extra effort to make sure we had extra towels for the spa, to accommodate an after-the-fact request for late check-out, etc. Even the day clerk who skateboarded to work was easily a full cut above what I expect at a moderately priced motel. The facility is "just" a Best Western, well maintained and quite comfortable, but definitely not opulent. The greenery in the atrium adds a bit, and the view of Morro Rock and proximity to the waterfront definitely help. As the Governator said, "I'll be back!"
