BEST WESTERN Oceanside Inn, Oceanside

Rude and inconsiderate manager!! We traveled from northern California and we had reservations two weeks in advance for two rooms through travelocity. We get there and according to the manager we only have one room reserved. He at first offered us second room at full price even though we had two confirmation numbers. When I protested he said he was canceling our first reservation. Here we are driven all day and this sleaze tells us he does not have to honor any discount or reservation made in advance. I will never stay in another best Western. We spent the evening hunting a motel room.

This place is horrible.. I will never stay there again.,. Checked in to room 106 thusday nite.. Everything was fine.. Friday nite got back from running around. the upstairs people were taking a shower so water was pouring from the wall and the bathroom light.. My stuff got wet. Had to get a new room.. 138.. woke up and went to take a shower the bathtub was clogged.. took them an hour to move us to another room 128.. Never gave me a discount or anything.,. I had to move two young kids plus our stuff..

Definately not the nicest hotel in FT.Lauderdale but we made the best of it,That is until we woke up on the day of checkout.There was a $75 bill under our door for a smokin fee.We were told at checkin we could smoke on the balcony and that is where we smoked.when I went to the front desk they insisted they smelt smoke in the hall that has at least 30 rooms and they blamed us.I teach my children to respect other people and they humiliated me in front of my family.they refuse to remove the charge or resond to my complaints.Iwill never go to a bestwestern again.

This hotel gave us a DIRTY room #137. It was horrible and disgusting. There was a broken bed and cigeratte butts and ashes all around. They ignored our request to give us a clean room! DO NOT STAY HERE. Enter at your own risk - MICE included! We tried to air the room out but the sliding door screen was torn up. WE WERE TIRED and FREEZING that evening trying to get rid of the smoke smell. This place is disgusting. Not worth spending a dime here. The front-desk manager was zero help. Zero, nada, nil! We did not stay and first we were told that they would not charge us. (They seem to be doing us a favor, NOT!) When we left they threatened to charge us one night stay. We refused. Other guests even saw MICE!

Of course the picture is nice and I think that is what the pool might have looked like in '68. We stayed in room 115 and just about everything about this place is bad. The service was poor also. Asked for more pillows and was told they did not have any (!?!?!). The toilet leaks and water covered the bathroom floor. The hallway carpet, outside the door, was also soaked and I could see water leaking from the ceiling. It's also bubbled and about to collapse. My five year-old located someone else's socks near one of the beds and the carpet has not been cleaned since prolly '85. The pool was somesort of off-green color and needed to be cleaned. Spa was nice however. We paid over $100.00 for the one night and will never go back. Don't make the same mistake we did !

I had to find a place to stay in a hurry for a few nights. As I was checking in a gentlemen was standing over my shoulder. When he left, the clerk suggested I change room to be on the safe side. A few nights after that I needed a room, I told the clerk how please I was with the first room, he check to see if it was available, it was so I was able to stay in the same room. I think the service was excellent. Being a single female I felt very safe and very comfortable there. I would recommend it to all my out of town guests. The view of the pool area at night is breathtaking. It was also very quiet at night.

We were in Oceanside to meet our son coming back from a 2nd tour of duty in Iraq,close to Camp Pendleton.This hotel is very close to the beach and shopping and restaurants.Will definately stay at Best Western again.The pool and hot tub were great after a long day of site seeing and the service was good. d.branon
