Rodeway Inn Riverside, Riverside

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and as a business traveler, I feel I know my hotel/motels. Arriving at 11pm with wife and kids we quickly learned we were in the ghetto, and was told by the hotel receptionist that since I booked through Expedia, even if I chose not to stay in the room I would be charged the $99.99!!

The room smelled so bad I had to drive around Riverside at 11:30pm to find an open store that sold scented candles. The carpet was so dirty I would not let my kids take off their shoes. The grout in the bathroom was molding, the beds were different sizes, the ceiling was stained with a big yellow blotch, and in the corner near the window the ceiling was falling. The toilet paper holder fell off when we closed the door.

This was the grossest hotel I have seen yet, and outside it says Best Western... imagine that.

The AC unit roared so I shut it off and opened the window. Between the late night foot traffic outside and the dog barking, I had to close the window and slept with the jet engine blowing nasty mildew smells all night. Yes, we felt nauseated the next morning.

I talked to the customer service people, who talked with the owner who offered to take $20 off. Not enough for me!!! We talked some more for $50 off my next stay. Best Western is sending their voucher but I guarantee that it will never be used. My Best Western days are done!!

Don�t let the list of fancy amenities fool you� this place is a DUMP!!!
