Magic Carpet Lodge, Seaside

New Management=Miracle Worker I stayed here one about a year ago and experienced incompetent maids and run down hotel. The only reason I came back was because all the other hotels had extremely higher rates due to some event. So I decided to pay 100 vs 250. The rooms are very clean and they have even planted a neat little garden out front. The new management seems to be restoring some pride back into the Inn. There is a heated pool and while they don't have fridges in the room they make up for it with breakfast in the mornings! The older lady at the front desk who I assumed was just a clerk ended up being the new manager! She was incredibly helpful with extras and even suggested a few local family trips we could do! A great place to stay with local friendly management!

been here in july. it a 100% BETTER WITH THE NEW MANAGER. SERVICE IS A1 ROOM ARE CLEAN NOW. I WILL BE BACK STAY THER 9/12/07 to 9/14 07

I stayed here recently and if you request no housekeeping, they will enter your room anyway. It happened to me. There are no refrigerators in the rooms at this hotel, so if you want to keep something cold you have to fill the sink with ice and keep it cold that way. When I returned to my room after some shopping, I found that not only did housekeeping enter my room but they emptied the ice from the sink and left my medicine requiring refrigeration out in the open air. This was nothing more than outrageous and unacceptable and I never did receive an apology from them. I would never stay there again.
