Days Inn San Diego South Bay, Chula Vista

WIFE AND I WERE HERE LAST FALL...SINCE THEN THE HOTEL HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RENOVATED. ROOMS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ALL NEW APPLIANCES AND AMENITIES! THE LOBBY IS RENOVATED AS WELL WITH BRAND NEW BREAKFAST AREA WITH WAFFLE MACHINES(MAJOR IMPROVEMENT FROM LAST TIME WE WERE HERE).. ROBERT, THE FRONT DESK IS ALWAYS A BIG HELP WHEN WE COME TO SAN DIEGO, AS HE IS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE CITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS..SHOPPING/RESTAURANTS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ALL LESS THAN A BLOCK AWAY.. CONGRATULATIONS DAYS INN ON IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF YOUR PROPERTY FOR US!!

WHAT A SURPRISE.........THIS HOTEL IS WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED...NOT ONLY DOES IT HAVE A WAFFLE BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING BUT THEY HAVE 5 YES THAT'S 5 HBO CHANNELS....FRONT DESK STAFF WAS REAL ATTENDANT OF MY NEEDS AND WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO NOT ONLY WALK ME TO THE ROOM BUT HELPED WITH MY BAGS (thanks robert) THIS HOTEL IS RIGHT NEXT TO OR REAL CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.......THANKS ALOT AND I'LL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ALL

The hotel was clean and well kept there was a fridge and mircowave in room. Very good location 8 places to eat within a block of the hotel and a grocery store across the street.There is a safe in every room,free wireless internet,a swiming pool, and a lot of chanels on the TV including 5 HBO and Cinamax chanels. The staff was great and knew the area well there directions were great,easy acess to the trolly station (just across the street).I would recomend this hotel to anybody

the hotel is nothing like the way it is represented online. When we arrived at the hotel in late july, we found our room reeking with the smell of mold and mildew. Additionally, the AC unit looked like it was about to fall off the wall, and half of the other units looked like they were held in place with duct tape and a dream. The place might be good for the occasional one night rendezvous, or a no-tell motel hookup, but i would not recommend this to anyone planning on spending an extended amount of time at the hotel. We wound up canceling our reservation and walking across the street to the Best Western, which was extremely clean and more then exceeded my expectations. Defiantly NOT family-friendly.

The location is convenient, but a little noisy from nearby freeway and Major Street. Room was adequate, a little worn but clean. Management charged us for use of the room safe, even though we never used it. The charge was not pointed out, and we didn't notice it until after we left. I called later in the afternoon of the day we checked out, and the Manager promised us a refund but it never arrived. Now I can't even get in touch with the Manager when I try to follow up on this issue. Nor will he return calls. Evidently there is an automatic safe charge, so clients beware!

the place was bad. beds are hard. stains on the carpet. shower leaked all over the floor. a/c was loud. i wouldn't stay there! the outside look nice!

Travelled here for work, had an extended stay. Room was clean, hotel was fairly quiet in the evening. Very good steakhosue right next door, excellent seafood house just about quarter mile to the west. Denny's right across the street!!Very close to I5, and to the San Diego trolley stop. Ample parking.....very helpful front desk staff. I probably would not stay here for a vacation, but for work it was quite fine. My only complaint was each afternoon/evening that I took a walk on E-Street, some kids at the school to the immediate east would throw rocks at me! Otherwise I felt very safe in the neighborhood. Very close by car from San Diego!

My parents stayed here and my wife and I stayed across the way at the best western. The Days Inn was a little more expensive than the Best western, but it had way more amenities. Lots of premium channels, cont. breakfast, microwave, fridge, all the stuff the best western didn't have. This place is very clean and newer. The pics are all correct as far as the pool and jacoozi. Very nice place to stay for several days. Ask for a discount when you arrive or call. It seems everyone will do a 10% discount just for asking. Hope this helps you.
