Description

The New Orleans Hotel & Spa’s idiosyncratic, eclectic vision offers a perfect modern alternative to the institutional approach one now finds in even the most high-end boutique design hotels. We are one of the most spirited and charming hotels in Eureka Springs, reflecting a historic heritage and the lively, adventurous spirit of an emerging age. A great hotel is not just a building, it is an individual, with personality, spirit and authenticity.

Worth a Visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
This is an old hotel. No elevator. Steep stairs. If you have mobility problems, this may not be the place for you. We stayed on the first floor in a queen suite. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Great TV with built in DVD and free DVD movies available in the lobby. Check in was a breeze. They unloaded the car, carried bags upstairs, and parked the car. All service was very friendly & efficient. We used the car a couple of times. They got our car quickly, and parked it when we returned. Location was great, we could have stayed the two days and not used a car if we wanted. Checkout was just as easy. Great service. Overall I enjoyed the stay. We normally rent a cabin or go to a bed and breakfast. The price for the hotel was higher than I normally spend for a B&B. Since I enjoy staying in different places each time, (I've stayed in at least a dozen different places) I probably won't return. However, I have no problem recommending this hotel for a stay. Plus: Service & Location Con: No elevator, restaurant on site

Location, Location, Location
By Krischarna C, 4/30/07
We have stayed in Eureka Springs many times and decided to stay at a hotel downtown this time. We had a Deluxe Suite with a Jacuzzi on the second floor. The second floor is really the third floor because the lobby is on the first floor. When I first walked into my room, I wasn't all that impressed. It was decorated in Victorian theme style with antique furniture. A window unit was the source of air but it did also include a ceiling fan. The room had been updated, it appears that the bathroom was focused on most. The bed was comfy and the location was the best of all. After loading your arms down with shopping bags, you are never that far away from your room and can unload your arms to make room for more ;) The staff was very nice and the spa downstairs was great as well although they did seem a little pricey for the services offered. I'm not sure if we will stay here again as our first choice but would stay here again if it was available and something else isn't.

It was great, but we won't be back.
By Panda, 4/15/07
The staff were WONDERFUL! You couldn't have asked for nicer people. I thought I would like a hotel in the downtown area, but I didn't know that pretty much after 8:00 everything dies down and it gets REALLY boring there. The room was slightly expensive, but it was very nice. The cleaning lady did an excellent job. However, for the price, I think they should have offered breakfast delivered to your room instead of a cheap continental breakfast downstairs. Also, the stairs! After parking your car you have to climb a MOUNTAIN; and then once you get into the hotel you have to climb more stairs because they do not have an elevator. That doesn't seem too bad, and it didn't for me either, until I had to do it about 6 times a day (due to us constantly leaving and going back to the hotel). They really should install elevators. :-) But, if you don't mind the stairs, it's a really good hotel and I would recommend it to you over the Basin or Crescent.

My new favorite!
By CINDY E, 1/3/07
We loved this hotel. We stayed in a deluxe suite withat a huge jacuzzi. The room was newly renovated, and very nice. The hotel itself was very cozy. It is located in the heart of the historic district, and has a balcony looking over the area. We will stay there again.

Winter Wonderland Honeymoon
By sanford, 4/11/06
1990 Christmas time and the off season. 2000 Anniversary and no longer an off season. Nostalgic climbing wooden staircase to suite. Romantic, intimate. Nearly electricuted by in room coffee maker. Would love to buy the place.

the only place to stay in eureka
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/05
i stayed at the new orleans in mid september 2005. my girlfriend and i had planned to stay at the basin, but they had no jacuzzi suites available. we heard about the new orleans from a local and decided to stop by and check it out. we were impressed right from the start. the lobby had a warm inviting charm, which was complimented by the lovely lady manning the front desk. we stayed in room 109(a jacuzzi suite).the room was not only completely clean but also seemed recently remodeled. right outside the room was a balcony extending the length of the front side of the building(a perfect place for a glass of wine and a good conversation). below a local band was playing some compelling rhythm and blues. the location of the new orleans is top notch, with shopping and bars next door, but the atmosphere and the feeling of the new orleans (as far as i am concerned) is why it is the only place to stay in eureka springs.

Home Sweet Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/05
The Hotel New Oleans Eureka Springs was outstanding in every area. The staff couldn't have been any better: nice, friendly, accommidating, and really concerned about you as a guest. The lack of an elevator was way over shadowed by the staff, cleanliness, and over all bargin. We highly recommend the HNO, what a wonderful experience.

Good and bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/05
We have stayed in years past and returned in 2004 to new ownership[?]. It has been nicely refurbished and the addition of a spa is great, but the staff people were almost uniformly unhelpful and chilly.
