OMG Don't Stay There
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/09
The front desk clerk was rude and errogant I think her name was Vicky. She acted like she didn't have time for us. Our waitress at the resturant wouldn't let us eat she tried to talk to us the entire time we were trying to enjoy our meal. The parking downtown is a nightmare. The room we stayed in had cockroaches. It looks great in the pictures but it lacked cleanliness and lacked the right amount of hospitality. (must be upper management trickling down!)

NOT a good anniversary weekend
By Girlie, 09/29/08
hotel itself is beautiful..but we got the king whirlpool room and romance package because it was our anniversary. had ants in our room the first night and woke up to ants in the bed. reported this and stayed gone from the room for the whole day so that this could be taken care of. no offer of changing rooms or anything. then upon returning, there was no where to park in the parking lot...the adjacent parking lots..the street....NO WHERE. after paying what we did for a two night stay in a premier room WE WERE NOT HAPPY !! returned to our room after parking in the front check in area until the traffic subsided...guess what? MORE ANTS in room. Reported to staff again upon checkout and was asked for our names and cell phone number by the sales manager so that she could call and discuss in detail with us our problems....no call...I called back and she wasn't in so left a message with 2 call back numbers......STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL. Hope you have better luck than we did.

family weekend
By New Years Baby, 07/10/08
One of the best hotels we have stayed in. We got there too early for check in and the desk clerk was helpful in giving us information on things to do to keep our kids busy till check in time. They were more than helpful on changing our room when our air-conditioning was not working, and into an even better room. Well one with bigger beds. The restaurant was great, the food was worth the money, and the kids ate free breakfast. We felt like we were at home but better, and that’s how it should be. We will always make this our staying spot. We loved it, and I am sure you will also!

A Must See!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/08
I took my fiance out of town to get away for the weekend. We chose the holiday inn because of it's close location to historical sites, and some nightlife . Boy was I surprised! They just renovated the entire hotel. It took maybe 2 minutes to check-in and the front desk staff was Wonderful!! very knowledgeable about the area, eager to please, and always had smiles on their faces. The room was great. For a little over 100 bucks we got a king executive suite, which upon entering we found it to be the cleanest hotel room we've ever checked into! I could go on for ever about this hotel but you have to see it yourself. A++. We will be return customers.

Terrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/06
Check in took greater than 30min. New person working alone and very busy weekend. People standing in line to check in. Had a nice king size bed and very clean but only one wash cloth, no coffee but had a coffee maker. Called for coffee...never did receive it. Shared a wash cloth and only two towels. Had 4 hand towels. No kleenex. Service at restaurant was the worst I think I had ever had. Tried to tell waitress and she was not listening. Never came back after bringing our food and we were the only ones in restaurant. Never ask about dessert and then adds on gratuity??? Just an overall bad experience.

Bad Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/06
The rooms were clean and the bartender was very nice. However the service and friendliness of the rest of the place was a D-, the kitchen was rude and the price is to high, I thought for $100, we would at least have a hot tub in the room, at the Hampton Inn in the very same town you can get a kitchen w/ VERY clean hot tub for $99.00, also free juice bar w/ muffins and coffee 24-7. The waterfall was pretty.

Hated Ft. Smith, Loved this Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/06
Although we did not have a great Ft. Smith experience (nothing to do), we did enjoy this hotel! They have a beautiful waterfall and 2 glass elevators inside. It is very visually pleasing on the inside. The room was very spacious and the indoor pool and 2 hot tubs were very nice. Basically the only thing we did during our stay was swim and go in the hot tubs. We had the breakfast buffet in the mornings which was about $10 per person, and the food was excellent! The only negative things we had to say about our stay was that housekeeping did not clean our room until 3 pm one day and also, the parking situation is not very adequate. There is a small parking lot at the front entrance, but only for about 15? cars. There is one very large lot beside the hotel and convention center, but if you park there, you either have to walk through the convention center to get back into the hotel or walk quite a distance to the front entrance. Other than those minor things, we enjoyed this hotel.
